Last minute change to the entry, for those keeping track.

Ricky Collard won't be in his usual car, he's switching to chassis SWM-003, which was the hybrid development car that Andrew Jordan ran at Silverstone last year.

I assume his usual car took too much damage at Silversone

Not seen any promotion on the BTCC channels yet? They really don't want anyone to see the Saturday races!

Doesn't look like much of a championship showdown in the supports, all seem pretty clear cut from the points, the Porsches being the closest.

The championship is set up perfectly this weekend, and on the best track for touring car racing in the UK, perhaps in the world. Hopefully it will all come down to the final race, or even the final lap. And hopefully Jason Plato will win race three.

No, Tingram's on fire, 4 tenths ahead of everyone. Would be great to see him take it this year. Sutton has fought hard for it too this year and would also be a worthy champ.

Outstanding stuff from Tom Ingram. Four tenths ahead of anyone else, and with four lap times that were strong enough for pole. I hope he can pull it off and win the title tomorrow.

Great performance too from Bobby Thompson and Dexter Patterson, and what a shame that Plato was nowhere.

Yeah Patterson's going well in that Q50. I did find it strange they say that car is already at the end of its life when Ash was so dominant with that car only last season. I don't know how much of that is the other cars being better developed or Ash's driving compensating for shortcomings.

If Ingram wins the first two races, then even if Sutton finishes second in both, Ingram will be 2 points ahead going into the final race. (Fastest Lap still to factor).

If 4 drivers being in the title hunt, with three being very very close together is not exciting for you, then, I'm afraid nothing ever will be. Sorry but I'm under impression you're complaining about everything just to complain. With Sutton being 3rd, Ingram 1st and Hill 5th on the grid we know a lot can still happen.

Also, about deserving the title - a driver who scores most points becomes the champion, it's not about deserving or not, it's about points. If Ingram finishes three races tomorrow and still has fewer points that Sutton (or Hill), we can't say he deserved it more, especially after such a tight battle.

I mean I get your point, Tingram is a very accomplished driver and there's a feeling he deserves being a champion but first he has to collect more points than anyone over a single season.

I think that's more down to him having a relatively poor season (by his high standards). Jake Hill is in the same car and has consistently looked to be the fastest driver out there, but isn't leading the title because of more mistakes, and so I think the BMW is the best car on the grid. It is just that Ingram and Sutton have been a class above the rest this year, and are two of the most outstanding drivers in the history of the championship. I suspect the Turkington of a few years ago would have won the title this year in that BMW, but he just doesn't have the raw speed anymore.

keep your impressions to yourself, I explained why I don't think so already so won't bother again , Sutton will win as he somehow seems protected , near everytime he has contact the other guy is on the losing side
