If he wins he needs Rubens, Montoya to finish lower than second.

It could happen, but I think that it is unlikely that neither of these will be second. And there is the possibility that someone else could win!

I'd quite like to see him rap it up this weekend. Although I most just want to see a great battle between him and Montoya for the win...

but theres still a pretty big points gap, and if barrichello finishes second will it make that big a difference? he won't be allowed to contend for the championship even though he's entitled to, ferrari wont let him

If Barrichello finishes second he will not be champion already. We know he's champion already...

I'd like to see Jacques winning (another dreamer)

It was over in Melbourne. Its all just a formality now.

If TGF wins and neither JPM nor Rubens takes second, its over. Bring on 2003.

I heard Michael wanted to leave the actual winning of the Championship to his home race. We could expect a conservative, cruising strategy like Britain 2001...

Oh how I'd laugh if he failed to finish at Hockenheim...

Does it really matter about what TGF does? Look at the points standings, if you took him away there's a 4-way battle for 2nd place. Now that's what I call exciting!

There is absoultely no suspense left in the title chase. Barring disaster MS has it won. If he fails to finish the championship RB will more than likely become his lucky successor. What will be more exciting is if RS and JPM can challenge RB for second. I doubt it too but maybe JPM can get a good third. I think that by the end of the season the real fight will be between Jordan, Sauber, BAR. The top four is pretty much settled as far as I am concerned.

When we look at the big picture F1 does become a bit boring. However if we go race by race there is still excitement to be found.

Even if TGF decided to retire prior to the French Grand Prix, he would still win the 2002 WDC. No one would overhaul his total; Rubens is not consistent enough, and Ralf and JPM doesn't have the car to beat Rubens often enough.

I'm expecting a close fought battle at the French GP, but I'm also expecting (once again) TGF to come out on top...

Welll Paddy Power have apparently paid out on bets saying that Michael will be F1 champion.

I leave for the French Grand Prix in 12 hours!

Hmmmm.

A McLaren 1-2 would be good, but if it going to happen (and lets face it we are being kind of unrealistic here, so I might as well go the whole way ) then I would like to see Montoya and Michael in 3rd and 4th after a great battle.

However, for me it is the race not the result.

Well that's silly of them. They should leave the money in their bank account gaining interest (and of course there is a slight chance it won't happen).

Have a good time...

Don't get your hopes high Jordi....Brwan made it clear that Michael won't even leave even though his contract with Ferrari expires in 2004.

Aye to that garagegirl...would love to see Heidfeld on the podium, he did manage 3rd placing last year.

Any particular reasons why you've said that way Jordi?

Puzzles me why some people have so much hatred towards him, is it because he's been so dominant & Ferrari favours him over any other 2nd driver?

I for one want him to break Senna's record before he retires and set a benchmark for others to break.

But Jordi, you should know by now that Jukebox is!

Scenario for this weekend, TGF/Ferrari will allow Rubens to win giving him the 10 points and a total of 42,TGF to come second giving him 6 points and a total of 92, 50 points difference with 5 races remaining, thus allowing TGF to win in Germany giving him the WDC in front of his home fans! just a thought!
