Got the no racing blues...here are some pics!
I was sitting on the computer wondering what to do with no racing for a few more months until the St. Pete race and then Sebring (possible go to Daytona for the 24 hours) and started to go through my Sebring pictures. I know that this isn't really the right forum for these pics but because I don't post to the sportscar forum I thought you guys would appreciate these and how close you can get to the cars at Sebring. Fan access is superb.

Here is the last one for now. The Champion Audi R8 coming onto pit road. If anyone would like to see more just post or email me and I can email you a 640x480 high quality version. I've got quite a few. Just let me know.

tanalised-
The only gear I use is a 2.1 megapixel Olympus Digital Camera. My father is the real camera buff. I just love the fact that I can fit about five hundred pictures on a little memory card not much bigger than the size of a thumbnail. This is a cool shot of the #1 Audi R8 at night after I messed with some of the settings on my camera. |

SteveA,
This is getting way off topic, but is worth a mention. Is this a small world or what? This afternoon, I took my truck to a local repair shop for a smog check, and the owner of the shop and I were talking about CART and other forms of motor racing, including drag racing. He happened to mention that this past September, he went to England to help as a member of the pit crew for a friend's funny car. Later, in his office, I noticed a framed picture on the wall of the same "Showtime" funny car that you have posted on this thread! Seems amazing to me that twice in the same day, I would see (out of the whole world) a picture of the very same car....never even heard of it before today. |

Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have all of my Sebring pictures online(in full quality), and will post a link. The attachment option doesn't really do pictures justice.
Nice shot SteveA. |

Thanks brightline.
In an attempt to veer the thread roughly back on course, the Showtime Funnycar (among others) was exhibited at the Rockingham 500 this year. Its probably the nicest looking Funnycar we have in Europe. There's a lot of cross promotion going on between Rockingham and Santa Pod, although unfortunately it hasn't saved the Rockingham 500 |
