Not really - www.bmrc.co.uk - Croft is about an hour up the A1 and Donington about an hour-and-a-half down the M1. Harewood hillclimb ain't far though...

Oulton Park in Cheshire is about an hour and a half. If you like Karting 3 sisters in Wigan is about an hour away.

If you're into 'bikes, Elvington airfield holds occassional races and is only just past York, and the superb Olivers Mount road circuit is in Scarborough (an hour-and-a-half?).

There's always the Leeds Ring Road. I've seen a few races around there

Cadwell Park is just under 2 hours from Leeds, and your not to far from the the delights of the Yorkshire Forests (top rallying area)

i havent fully decided on leeds yet, im struggling to find work here in london so i thought if i move somewhere else in the country i might have better luck. even if it doesnt pay as much as it would in london, i figure i might be able to save a little more to allow me to see more motorsport, even if it means coming back to london for the weekend.
