Lamborghini Miura - on the track and in the paddock

I am currently researching the definitive book on the Lamborghini Miura for Simon Kidston. They were occasionally club raced, including at least one by George Drummond (banking heir).

Does anyone here have any photos (ideally print-resolution) of Drummond (or others) racing a Miura?

Also, any interesting period paddock shots - Rupert Keegan had one, I believe.

Thank you - Steve Wakefield

I guess you've read the extensive feature on the Muira in the March (issue 153) glossy?

They came up with only one being raced- Karl Foitek in Switzerland. That then spurred letters from readers in issues 154 & 5 with evidence of more in US and Europe, but no mention of Drummond....

Thank you, yes. We want interesting photos for the book (though it will only be as a short aside, the cars were never raced properly) but also for the Miura Register www.miuraregister.com where notes on several cars include "raced in the 70s". There was one in Portugal for example.

We are also looking for interesting anecdotes and period shots, and I'm thinking sprints, or paddock shots like the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato '1 VEV' that was painted red and parked outside the control tower at Silverstone in the 1970s.

Owners who supply interesting information and photos receive a free log-in.

One of the letters in this month's issue was from Portugal, with period pic.
