An exciting entrant - new for '03 - is Polaris Racing's Porsche GT2; a 500bhp monster that should give the M3 GTRs something to think about! You can see it on the Falken stand at the Autosport show. Drives will be available... go to www.polarisracing.co.uk for more car details, contacts etc..
It is an excellent series - I did a couple of rounds in '02 in the Bravo Motorsport M3 with Jon Owen. 3rd on my first outing at Silverstone was pretty satisfying!

Having read this weeks Autosport, this championship could be the one to watch...forget about the GT's etc! I must admit - 72 entrants...hows that going to work then!!!

Martin,

The only race I am currently aware of is on the 22nd March at Silverstone - 3hours, have you entered? And are you running with Topcats this year?

I've lost your e-mail address, can you PM it to me, thanks

Another subject for EERC drivers out there..let me know what you think

I asked last season at Brands indy and silverstone national that we be allowed 2 laps green flag warm up.....trying to get heat into big slick tyres on short circuits very difficult............know there are people out there that will say good driver can drive on hot or cold rubber........but it'd save lot of heart stopping moments in first corner......................anyone else agree or disagree ?????? like to hear thoughts.

MP

PS this isn't an invite to remind martin of his first corner blues !!!!!! lol

I think anything goes - the regs say Britcar 2003

Classes:-
Britcar 4 1800-2000cc
Britcar 3 2000-2800cc
Britcar 2 2800-3600cc
Britcar 2 MARCOS MANTIS CHALLENGE
Britcar 1 over 3600cc-5500cc
GT3+GTO+GRPA+

1800-2000cc 900kg
2000-2800cc 1100kg
2800-3600cc 1200kg
3700-5500cc 1300kg
all cars have to be within +or-10% of these figures...

Les,
Good to see that you are answering the questions asked about the eerc and directing people to our website. You are doing a fantastic job for us both and everyone else it would appear. Keep up the good work. Have you ever thought about being a championship co-ordinator !!!

well the EERC now looking even better - Phil Bennett has obviously caught the bug and will be racing at Silverstone in 2 weeks. From the entry list he is in Britcar 4 whilst my boys are in BC3 (phew!)
