No Jim Richards at Bathurst

Interesting that Jim Richards was not running in the TCM at Bathurst this year.

Mr Skaife mentioned that it was the first Bathurst in 45 years that a Jim has missed.

Yeah if you listen to Noonz podcast, he has cracked it at TCM and will not be running anymore.

He is pretty right, as happens with so many categories rules creep in for one person or another, and the whole thing loses the original philosophy.

Pretty big money now and a constant battle to be able to race up the front.

Wasn't it originally designed to race the older cars with modern, more reliable (read cheaper) components.

That train has well and truly left the station.

Jim is now in his seventies so perhaps his reflexes aren't what they used to be and he would now be racing against lots of younger drivers, maybe he has just hung up his helmet and retired from racing as the enjoyment was no longer there.
