Easter Monday 2005

Promises to be a great day for classic and historic motorsport.

Thruxton plays host to the CTCRC championships go to www.csccgb.co.uk for info and down the road at Castle Combe the circuit opens its gates to the Top Hat series http://www.tophatracing.co.uk.

So who's going where and what will you be doing? Only a month from now!

A bit daft having two similar events on the same day so close together really... but not the first time it has happened!

Neither - I'm at Mallory Park! I do catch up with both series later in the year - CTCRC at Donington and Top Hat at Mallory.

I'm not there but one of my great life moments was to be on the Thruxton Easter Monday podium on my first outing in the CSCC with the Golf (don't get too excited - class winner - no other starters - sadly no photos either....) having spent my early teens on the other side of the fence in FVA F2 era Easter Monday meetings - mouldy cheese & marmite sandwiches as it often rained....

Not one Good Friday meeting this year either? I always remember being at Snett for the Good Friday F5000 meetings then Silverstone, Brands or Thruxton F2 on the Monday. This year probably see you at CC Pete.
