From the top of my head, Jochen Mass and Toine Hezemans drove as well; one of them won IIRC. The Capri's featured a rear spoiler for the first time, which was allowed by the Japanese rules.
I'll cover this race on my site (go.to/touringcars) in the near future.

No.2 car was driven by Jochen Mass and Dieter Glemser.
No.3 was by Toine Hezemans and Alan Moffat.

No.2 car won and No.3 retired at 71laps of 133lap race.

I have a magazine of "Fuji TT preview" issue by accident.
Result was found out at JAF site.

Any chance that I could get a copy of the preview in English? Any help would be appreciated.

Beejay17,

Preview is consisted of 10pages in Japanese.
So I am reluctant to translate it into English.
What do you want to know?

The involvement of Allan Moffat. At this stage all I know is that he may have been a late replacement for Jackie Stewart, who announced his retirement and didn't go. Moffat may not feature in the article if he was a late replacement. Also, what kind of opposition did they have? Who were they entered under? Was it Ford Germany (Cologne)?

Thanks.

fndc, where did you find it on the JAF site? I've been looking for it, but couldn't find it (I did find the 87/88 Fuji results however). Could you give the URL please?

Beejay17,
Jackie Stewart was listed as a member as you wrote.
But this magazine doubts his participation.

Entry list was not given,so I don't know details of the team.

Thanks. No wonder I couldn't find it, its ever more Japanese that the 1987 results. Still, I now know the number of finishers, ALL starting numbers, all DNF's and a few car types (I recognize a few Mazda RX 3's). That's a nice start, I'll see what I can make from that.
Thanks!

The race was started in a sort of classic le mans fashion. The co-drivers had to run across the track and touch the car, before the car could start the race. Hezemans did not wait for this, and was blackflagged - he had to stop and start again.
