Does that mean that one of the existing teams hasn't and can't enter? The existing 11 plus Prodrive plus Stoddart would be over the 12-team limit.

Has the FIA accepted any of these submitted entries yet.

whilst it was expected that Prodrive would lodge a entry for Formula One in 2008 it is still nice to actually have it confirmed. If Prodrive do get a entry I think they are more than capable of doing a good job, perhaps not challenging the manufacturers but probably the best of the privateers. Unless of course Prodrive goes into F1 with factory backing from someone then Dave Richard's firm might taste sucess.

Surely these are just a list of entry submissions not confirmed entries?

Yes I assume it is down to the FIA to choose which entries they believe can make the grid in 2008, not that it's a first come first served scheme.

If the FIA have to exclude someone on the grounds of potential ability to get a team up and running in team, it would realistically have to be Paul Stoddart's return being nixed. They could simply count Red Bull and STR as a single team, unless the rules expressly say 24 cars rather than 12 drivers.

Isn't a new Concorde Agreement going to be signed come 2008? Don't you think that if 26 or 28 good cars were able to race reasonably, they would keep 'em out?

It is clear that there is a lot of talk here without actually knowing what the process is or what can and can't be done. The key points to this are contained in the 2008 sporting regulations. The main bits are article 41-47. The regs even contain the entry form for those thinking about getting an entry in before the dealine tonight. Hurrah up knowlesy. |

I presume that figure of 22 includes the already competing 11 teams?
So in essense, 11 *new* teams have applied. |

Also you can count me in as second driver. I dont mind playing second fiddle to Adam in out first season... although would like equal status from my second season onwards. |

ralf fan, you can be second driver if you change your avatar. You are living in the past with that one matey, it'll never happen again.
We like to encourage racing in my team, so no subservient teammates. I have decided you lack ambition and I will promote Down F0rce to race driver duties alongside Adam. It breaks my heart, but you've gotta be hard nosed in this world. |
