Paffet Steps up to F3000 with Brand Motorsport
Reigning German Formula 3 Champion Gary Paffet has signed up for new F3000 team Brand Motorsport. http://www.autosport.com/newsitem.asp?id=21988&s=10 The story also says Minassain has yet to finalise his deal with Martin Kendrick.
Still it should be done soon, I hope! |

I thought Minassian was going to be driving for Brand in the their limited CART programme, or have I missed something?

It seems like he is doing both. I can understand why he wants a 2nd stab at the title after coming so close in 2000, and besides its good business sense to only employ 2 drivers, than 3.

i hope the other drivers keep clear of minasian, dont want a repeat of thruxton f3 a few years back

Honestly, i'm surprised to see 15 drivers in Imola. It looks something good, but if YOU stop 1 second....AT THE MOMENT TO HAVE 18 CARS IS A DREAM! IN THE SAME DAYS IN ADRIA IN F.3 EURO SERIES FIRST TEST EVER, WE HAVE SEEN 30 DRIVERS! I THINK THAT SOMETHING IS CHANGED, I DON'T KNOW IF WILL BE BETTER OR NOT, BUT I'M SURE THAT F.3000 IS DEAD. IT'S ONLY QUESTION ON 1 MOUTH, 1 OR 2 YEARS, I DON'T KNOW.

There were 18 drivers at Imola, not 15.
(Actually there were more than 18 - but only 18 of them actually drove.) F3000 is looking very healthy, with almost a full grid. |
