So it’s confirmed, something about sim racing points counting towards the championship. I dunno if it’s because I’m old or what but I’m so not into this, maybe modern motorsport isn’t for me?

Nah I'm the same. I love racing games, do (or did) a fair bit of the eSports stuff. I'm all for drivers doing this stuff and there being eSports championships. But I think they should be separate things.
I don't want this any more than I want to see the F1 title decided on a Gran Turismo hot lap contest.

I'm not a huge fan of it, but if the goal is to increase involvement especially from younger fans this is probably a good way to do it. A lot of young people are more interested in eSports racing than they are real racing. Maybe this will help bridge that gap.

As much as I like racing games and video games in general, I still can't make make myself sit long enough to watch a single esports race. I agree that the two things need to be kept separate. Racing on a monitor/TV screen just isn't the same.

I don't have a problem with this at all. The Team's Championship gets very little attention as it is, so why not throw something else at it.
If this affected the driver's title, that would be different, but teams? No issue at all IMO

Tyre changes while refuelling will be allowed at Endurance Cup races.
