John, are you looking at entry list on TB website? Still has us entered in a Ford but that was changed a while back!
Looking forward to it. Will be first time on 'rally' stages for 21 years! |

My dearly beloved and sadly missed Mk2 Teapot will be there without me, she passed on to a better place (new owner) a week or two ago. Quite envious really, never did get around to rallying the old gal.

Which entry is that, Colin?
Another tenther spotted on the list- Ben Shuckburgh in the Falcon. Will it have stopped raining by then? |

Gary Morris & Andy Dee-Crowne, currently showing an E-type on the entry list but I don't think that car is actually ready. They are prepping my old Mk2 as a back up, which should go well in this event as it ran as a rally car in the 90's then as a circuit racer more recently so got a bit of everything. Affectionately known as the Teapot because of the uncanny resemblance to one owned by my dear old mum (also the marginal cooling system when I first bought it......)

Ahhh, that is why I couldn't find the Mk2- it wasn't a senior moment after all!

So the entry list isn't really to be relied on, then....?
I've volunteered to do some marshalling at Aintree, so whoever is on the entry list I should have a sporting chance of seeing them |

Unfortunately we will be in same class as Elans, so will be concentrating on the social side! |

Absolutely no chance of us winning Regularity in Pre War car.Lucky to get in top five.
Linwoods will walk it ,they are by far the best ones at it but take is so much more seriously than rest of us.Might not win popularity prize! The battle of 26R's in competition will be good.Drilller Sheldon with Leslie against Michael Schriber and Scribe Pye.Driller has edge with so much more Tour experience. Proves the point about old farts and Historic Racing. All the drivers in the hunt are over 60 with Biggles Linwood in his 70's. |

My fellow driver for the event, Mr James Paterson, would like it known that the reason we will not be 'in the hunt' is that during the event he will still be only 59 years old. Needs another year to mature and reach his prime....... |

Just back from marshalling at Aintree - knackered from hand-balling eleventy-nine straw bales - but having been entertained by Mr Bell amongst others - a creditable 21st and 20th on his runs, against much bigger-engined machinery Not a huge entry, but some very nice cars
Lucky to avoid much rain - there were thunderstorms moving around us, but we only had a few minutes shower - though some alternative thunder from the Cobra, Mustang and Aston Martin Rallye. Couldn't quite see the attraction of the regularity section - some beautiful cars, but why take them to a race circuit/stage and drive slowly? Poor souls in the no 58 Elan - which expired after the Aintree runs and who were waiting for it to be recovered back to Chepstow - 3 laps of Aintree isn't much for that entry fee....hopefully if it can be repaired they can rejoin for the later part of the event. Anyway, enjoy the rest of the event, people.... |

Richard, good of you and other Marshals to turn out for us! Aintree far too open for little cars, but first race at Oulton was just after deluge and evened things a bit. We are running first on road of competition group but so far not made any mistakes with roadbook or time card- hope that continues!

Oops - maximum time (5.30) awarded for Mike on stage 5......what happened? Hope its something simple......
Stage 4 (which I think is the same course as stage 5) looked like a nadgery stage tho...bogey time 1.03, with the fastest so far shown (A Mk1 Escort) on 1.43.9 with Mike on a 1.54.3..... Edit - a Porsche 911 just popped in a 1.35! and Stage 5 now has 4 competitors on a maximum.....wonder if the track is breaking up causing punctures? Though the leading Porsche on Stage 4 just set a 1.04 on Stage 5 - just one second over bogey...... Last edited by Lancsbreaker; 8 Sep 2010 at 10:27. Reason: Constantly changing updates! |

And of course I'm guilty of ignoring John Ruston in the Regularity Section - currently doing well in 3rd overall and 1st in class.
Sorry John..... - but well done, keep it up.... |
