MikeH should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Scottish Legends are on the support bill for next Sunday so I hope those of you coming to the track think about coming to see us early (9.00am for our first race) or stay after the last BTCC race instead of joining the lemmings in the massive car park queue trying to "get out early" (our final is the last race of the day.) We have a grid of around 27 due to run and those who have seen legends race at Knockhill before will know there are some great battles to be had! Those at home with Setanta will hopefully look out for us too.

Word is that a "BTCC ITV commentator" will be racing with us as well - don't ask me who as I don't know yet!

I seem to recall Ben Edwards has raced a Legend before. Keep your fingers crossed it's not Tim Harvey

I am looking forward to seeing the Legends next weekend, I have not seen them since they left the TOCA package at the end of 2003. Hopefully they will provided some good entertainment.

BTW Ben Edwards has raced a legend before it was at the Formula Renault Masters meeting at Donington in October 2003.

Word is that it is indeed Mr Edwards, but haven't had confirmation yet. I'm not sure how he's meant to get from commentating on the third BTCC race straight to the Legends final, but hey... would be great if he's running with us!

Matt Neal will be out after all - seems Team Halfords shook down his new car yesterday.

Legends have some testing at the end of the day tomorrow so I'll have a poke around before our session and see if there's any photo oppurtunities of anything interesting.

its a shame to see so many cars out but i suppose this could reduce the chances of a multiple car pile up especially with the narrow track at knockhill

I'm sure the (relative) lack of cars won't stop them trying...

So who's missing? Motorbase, Quest and Pinkney, as well as Leason, Blanckley and Pocklington, but what about guys like Bell and Marsh?

Bell's there, Marsh isn't. Already posted on the first page line-up. Only question mark is Erkut since no source for his absence.

No Erkut.

Here's Matt Neal's car still having the finishing touches made to it:

Robertshaw Racing:

Gavin Smith is there but there are no sponsor stickers on the car, plus as you can see it was a lovey and warm day at the 'Hill.:

Ben Edwards is indeed running with us in the legends and was out testing yesterday, word is he was pretty fast.

Hope to see some of you at the track today and tomorrow, I'll be hanging around at the Legends area near the white #60, feel free to say hello!

Despite rumours to the contrary - Smith's car most certainly has just been to Oschersleben and back for Timur Sandrinov - hence the sticker movement. Smith had his own stickers on that car last time, hard to understand why he'd stop sponsoring himself when he's paying for the drive.

If Holiday Inn stays missing that's a change - frankly why they bother when their logo's are on the championship contending Vauxhall's is very odd.

First practice: Shedden fastest from the two works Leon's then Neal! Seems to be running okay!

We're down to 18.

Plato and Gio next to each other on the grid is great. Hopefully a chance for guys like Stockton and Hughes to get some points.

Jordan's Integra is white inside.

Bit of a strange day, lots of wind, some light drizzle which was exaggerated by the wind, then lots of warm sun.

On the car front I thought the two guys who looked the quickest were Stockton and Jones. Shedden appeared to be on it too, with the back end out one time entering the hairpin.

Really pleased to see Matt Neal out, nice gesture on his car to the team - "Well done boys"!

That wasn't 4 season in one day, as Knockhill regulars will testify.

Blue Sky, A bit of Cloud Cover at times, a bit of Breeze, and just a little moisture in the air that was hardly worth mentioning.

People love overdoing the Knockhill weather discussion. Today was pretty normal - at that elevation it's always pretty breezy.

Those watching Setanta today please bear in mind they've altered the start time to 9.00 from 9.30 to cover the legends.

Turner won.

Gio was barged off by Cole, but rejoined to finish a few places below Plato.
