LavidaLoca should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Pity that FIA WEC and Macau GP Clashed , would have been nice to see Earl Bamber back in Action.

2016 Crashes:
QR: Lyon, Müller, Shen, O'Young. Three gold and one bronze
MR: Capo and Vanthoor crashed. A silver and a platinum driver.

2015 Crashes:
QR: Fong. Fong was silver that year.
MR: Lyons, Estre, Bamber, Derdeale, Inthraphuvasak, Shen, Couto. 4x Pro, 2x Silver and a Bronze.

2014 No big incidents, and in 2013 the Pro drivers caused the big incident on lap 1.

So based on this, it is better to remove the "Pro" drivers from Macau, as they caused the most incidents in the last four GT events.

I don't disagree with you, I'm saying they have pushed to be pro only with the goal of avoiding crashes. Not saying that's right or wrong

The key word is "hope".

Da Costa raced in DTM for three seasons and is 26 years old. He's beyond F3.

Not sure what happened there, plenty seemed to believe he'd be in one of the cars..

There's nothing wrong with older drivers doing the F3?
It was the trend in the 80's after all.
If it means more entries in future it should be encouraged as long as they are decent enough pedallers.

It's wrong to me. Macau F3 should feature F3 drivers, not Formula 1, LMP1 and DTM drivers.

Perhaps BMW understood that with the M6 they have only slim chances of winning. Every mistake is a new style.

I'd be looking around the official Macau website, GTWorld youtube channel or the Blancpain Series website for that as that was where it could be found last few years.

The Honda NSX is about 3 seconds off the pace in first practice.

Yes its quite rare to see Van De Zander at the tail end of the field. Give him time with the car-he certainly knows the circuit. AMG look very strong here but so does Felix Rosenqvist in the lone Ferrari.

Aussie Chaz Mostert is 18th but never haven raced in Macau its no big surprise.

Huh. Why is the NSX struggling so badly? I was looking forward to this car on an international scene.

Usually when Ferrari has only one car entered in the race they end up qualifying up front and winning the race. It’s crazy how it happens consistently.

Because it has the lowest downforce of any current spec GT3 car and is on a tight street circuit.
