Someone just might know?

Anyone know what silencers Simon Durling uses on his V8 Brabham by any chance?
They seem a bit noisey to me, but he keeps on racing, so must be OK.

That's because it's a nice noise!

IIRC correctly, it's well inside the limits, but then Db is a particular way of measuring volume and doesn't equate to the human ear's perception of volume.

Thanks for that; I know many marshals are well known to Simon and hoped he might have said something .
The engine does sound very good, let's hope Simon can get back into the seat soon.

I want to open-up the Porsche engine but have large 'road spec' silencers at the moment. Simon's are much more compact for a similar engine size.

I imagine most single seater silencers are custom build in order to get the best power and driveability within the noise limits.

Talk to BTB Exhausts at Woodford Halse who in my experience are quite competent.
