Unfortunately I sold the car when it was about 95% complete
Imagine it with 3 piece gold BBS wheels
Here it is at the time of sale

Another lovely looking car! Is it now finished and racing with the new owner?

Looks fabulous. Since MiniMM became an RX8 owner I've come to appreciate these rotary wonders. Very much of their time, their voracious thirst and oil/fuel burn does not make them suitable for the 21st century, which is probably one of the reasons I love them.

We're still interested in doing the CSCC series for them. Being strapped to the sound of those rotors thrashing down a race track really appeals.

Not mentioning the chassis I always felt very confident in many Mazdas, including the MX5 recently. OK, with some alterations I must admitÖ

Mike the car was bought by an expat Aussie banker who lives in London
It has been on the track a couple of times
Very quick and driven well
Funnily enough his wife bought , from the person I sold it to, the Group A Moffat Rouse Sierra RS500that raced at Bathurst in 1987.
I brought that one in from the UK before you guys realised how valuable they were

Now you probably get the impression I am a race car dealer. Iím not.
My hobby is finding old race cars, restoring them and getting them back onto the track. I then sell it to afford the next rescue and restoration

As well as the RX8 "series within a series" that CSCC run as Max says, there are a couple of RX7s running or intending to run in Future Classics - indeed one got pole position for our very wet Donington season finisher - but DNF'd in the race.....

Got a soft spot for them as I co-drove one on a few International rallies back in the 80s - it was a competitive car in its class, and generally reliable.
