Terry Scannell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MSVR 19th/20th March

Be part of something new and fantastic - The 1st ever race meeting on the brand new Snetterton 300 circuit organised by MSVR.

Come along and experience just how different the new circuit is - you will not believe what has been achieved in such a short time over the winter.

If you can assist over the weekend of the 19th / 20th March, even if just for one day, you will certainly be made most welcome to this important event in the history of circuit. All grades required. Your help will be greatly appreciated by the MSVR team.

The meeting includes a thrilling line-up of races including the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons, Lotus Elise Trophy, Club MSV Trackday Trophy, Lotus Cup UK, Gax Shocks Production BMW, MSV F3 Cup & Monoposto.

Please contact snmarshals@msvracing.co.uk or marshals@brscc-ea.co.uk with your details and availability.

Still time to volunteer for this exciting MSVR meeting. Assistance from all grades required.

You need to be a part of this event to experience the superb visability of the racing - it's a flag marshals dream as you can see so many sections of the new circuit at the same time.

Please contact Peter Rodwell, Chief Marshal, via marshals@brscc-ea.co.uk if you can assist with this meeting. Your support will be really appreciated.

Terry,
might be nice but surely, as a flag marshal, you should only be looking at one section of track.

Nick, You are quite correct if on yellow but the person on blue, for example, will appreciate exactly what I meant by being able to read the progress of the race well in advance of the cars arriving in your section, as it were.

Think you will find, as I have had the fortune to experience to over the past couple of weeks, that the new post positions are all in close proximity to the track and will also make it easier, in most cases, for the incident teams.

Glad to see your flag training sessions with me a few years ago have stayed so etched in your mind.

See you soon, mon ami mate!

My passes arrived in post today - complete with a bonus for those marshals planning on camping. For this event it would appear that that the designated marshals camping area will be in the area directly behind Russell corner. A much better view! A diagram showing the new circuit layout and the camping area arrived with the tickets.

Sign on will be 0700 - 0800
Briefing will be 08.00
On post 08.25
Inspection 08.45
Start 09.00

There will be minibus rides round the circuit on each morning for marshals so that you have the opportunity to see the circuit.

Tyrrell's will open at 07.00 (earlier than normal) so that you have time to take the circuit rides, still have time for breakfast and attend the briefing!

Don't forget that vouchers will be issued for a drink in the bar at the end of the event and all marshals will be entered into the season long draw for a chance of the Caribbean Rex resorts holiday and one lucky marshal over the weekend will receive a drive in the Formula Jaguar at Bedford Autodrome.

Event timetable is via; http://www.msvracing.co.uk/media/118...ssue%20one.pdf

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Terry

if anyone has information about Snettertons new layout, info much appreciated

I have modified the map over the winter to reflect the new circuit layouts

things like camping/parking/posts have obviously changed

No passes here. Do I need to worry yet? (well, sort of, as unless they turn up tomorrow, I won't be back here before the weekend).

As with others, I received my passes some days ago; so a quick phone call/email might be prudent.

I sent an email to the snmarshals address on Saturday, and I'm still yet to hear anything. Should I be worrying yet? Anyone I can phone?

I got mine early and it only took a couple of days after I emailed to get another set for a second marshal. If you don't get them I can leave you tickets at the gate.

Best contact is our BRSCC-EA Chief Marshal, Peter Rodwell and he is contactable via 01394 271846. I'm sure Peter can organise something for you.

Terry.
