Garry Holmes should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
PMR Radios

Do all PMR Radios use the same frequencies ? For example can a motorolla talk to a BT PMR?

6 : 445.04875MHz
7 : 446.08125MHz
8 : 446.09375MHz

In my experience yes, if they just use the main 8 channels.

However some use "sub channels" and they don't always line up.

Yup, they all work within the same range, You may have to tune it in rather than just using the channels, but at work we have loads of different types and they all work together

Strictly speaking no. PMR stands for Private Mobile Radio. Typically PMR users are licensed for VHF (Very High Frequency, normally 133MHz-170MHz) or UHF (Ultra High Frequency, normally 430MHz-470MHz).

Having said that, the most common frequency, that can be used without a licence, is PMR 446. The radios that you will find for sale in this country, and mainland Europe, are almost certainly on this frequency.

This link will take you to Ofcom, the communications regulator, and explains PMR 446, including the frequencies used.
