50-SIX should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Must admit Ian, i was looking in some what wonder when one minute there was loads in my mirrors then all of a sudden there was just you with masses of space behind us. What actually did go on for the gap to be so big?

Ian i was watching at the top of cascades, Steve was all over you like a rash i thought your head was gonna fall off as you were trying to find were he was .

The big gap came when Redracer did a 180 at fosters and spread the field across the grass either side, Jamie Smythe being the biggest loser having to go on the int track to avoid him.

Yeah, I lost the lead because i panicked a bit. I came into cascades cautious and i saw he had carried a lot more speed in. I was so paranois about him divin up the inside i tried to brake as late as possible - which meant he had a simple run at me on the exit. Was a bit silly really, but i didnt expect to be leading races so soon.

Lesson learned.

You two must have been on it when I got a clear run out of Old Hall I could not see any one in front up to the bridge.I do need an engine before the next race as this one is very tired but its better than not having one,My new one is third on Neils list to be started but still a long way off.Still I was happy to get 3rd as I never expected it,did any one see my start ....ouch the zetec diff is going in the bin,It feels like you are taking of in second gear so its back to a 10:31.
I may get my old engine back of Two Dogs for the long circuit.

He has had a bit of a mare as well........

Diz showed me one on Saturday but it wasn't for publication at that stage. FF1600s will be on at the start and the end of the day though, which is fair enough as it is a double header.

How will qualifying work? Will we be out twice to qualify or does the second race grid line up how the first race finished? Having never been to a double header that is run on the same day i'm not too sure.

One qualifying session for two races - I presume that race one result will determine the grid for race two.

So don't crash in race one David.

They had better not put us to the back on the last one as we should be first and middle.

Or better still, don't crash in testing.

Yes to one qualifier. Second race grid formation should be explained in final instructions. It always causes a healthy debate, whether it should be as Ian states, or second fastest qualifying lap, or whatever bests suits the individual at the time, etc.
"What if I have a bad qualifying?"
"What if I don't finish - or finish poorly in race one?"
"What if this?"
"What if that?"

So I suggest you just do as you are told, as I honestly don't know yet.
The latest info I have is :
Post86 is Q1, R1 + R7
Pre87 is Q3, R3 + R8

NW policy - at our instigation after losing a race a couple of years back - is no double headers have their second race before single races have had their only race. Fair enough.

Back in the land of the living...

Jase I am not sure my spin was quite as dramatic as you made out!!

Jamie did have to go onn the full circuit but that was it!!!

There was a mini breakaway from the pack with Ian leading from Steve with Chris Tyndall in 3rd Jamie in 4th and me in 5th. I took Jamie for 4th then Chris Tyndall broke down (which was a shame as he was going well) they I had a stupid spin which delayed Jamie hence a big gap back to Paul Gerard

RR

Don't undersell yourself!

The spin itself may not have been dramatic, but the avoidances all around it were....we were just waiting for the bang!
