Me and two mates went for the Silverstone 99 (final) meeting.

There is a camp site on the other side of the access road from the car park. It's signposted. It cost us 10ukp per car (the three of us were in a 406 Estate!).

There was a dodgy food van there, but the chips were NASTY. I'd recommend getting a BBQ/fire going, and take your own food!!!

Out of interest, do you lot (the 10-tenths gang) camp overtnight at all of the BTCC meetings or do you all go for the day?

We just turned up!

We had no idea what the arrangements would be like. We just drove down from Teesside at 5:30am on the Saturday morning and sorted it out once we got there! :-)

Just do it!

Yes, there's the place right opposite the circuit which is very handy, but a tenner is muchly excessive Just turn up with your dosh. Don't think I advocate fraud, but you could always pile 4 or 5 people and any number of tents into a single car and just pay once for the lor of you ?

hunt, we would generally camp at 4 or 5 rounds in a season, but I expect that might be higher this year

I hope to camp at every race but it depends on other people as I wouldn't dream of camping on my own.

It has been known that if you turn up at camping site late at night there is nobody to take your money but that could be pot luck.
