Hi Folks
If you could pass this around to any non ten tenthsers. Instructions say to park in car park behind toilets near FMC, this should say the gravel car park next to Chequers as you normally do (in the car park as opposed to on the road or grass opposite). We will put up a sign to show you. Also if you park in parc frme then please note there is no vehicle access to the paddock from there). Cheers Phil |

Sunday
Sorry - bit a a noob question - just checking that we need to sign on 90 minutes before racing starts on Sunday?
Also, I haven't done a Gold Cup before and the family are coming to watch the action on Monday - does it get really busy? If so, where is it best for them to park up - I'm guessing they will be there pretty early? Thanks in advance G |

The time stated on your final instructions is the latest you should be there - always aim for the start of sign-on or a little bit earlier, not the end.

Another excellent Gold Cup, parts of which were made even better by the changing conditions, I think. Fantastic racing, particularly the E Types.
Thanks to all at Knickerbrook for a fab three days, and marshalling our car park well. |

Weather aside it was a great weekend at Oulton Park. A fantastic collection of cars, pedalled by some very good drivers in very tricky and changeable conditions.
A good bunch of marshals at Knickerbrook kept the spirits high all weekend. Was it worth the 550 mile round trip, you bet it was! See you next year! |

Hi all, thanks to all for a fab weekend. However, I will take exception to whoever organised the weather! Still. at least the drivers behaved themselves. Special thanks to all at Old Hall & the med crew who looked after Brigette when she did her Alice in Wonderland trick & tried to go down a rabbit hole! The bruising has gone down, but not the embarrassment! Thanks to all the guys at Shell as well helping me being assessed for flag upgrade. Good bunch of people to work with & made the day even more enjoyable. Roll on 2012, Special Saloons revival please HSCC, just seen the piccys from Mallory. What a fab grid of cars.

The Gold Cup meeting lived up to expectations!
More E-Types than you could shake a stick at, loadsa Lotus Cortinas, plenty big noisy V-8s; a perfect weekend despite the weather. I enjoyed Water Tower - gave me a chance to see the Rally Cars between sessions. I had planned to take some photos of them during the lunch break on Monday, but I left my camera in the car, about a two minute walk away. Three different IO's in three days . . . was it something I said? |

Thanks to all on Cascades - nothing much to do (a few pull offs / one slight barrier damage and dented pride) / interesting lines through the corner (including the poor man taking an early bath - literally!).
Could do with turning the heating up next time! Can someone stick some money in the meter please? - just about thawed out now! Best race was the E-types :-) (but I'm biased!) |

Another excellent Gold Cup meeting, really enjoyed the racing, shame we were all stuffed together (marshals & spectators all mixed up together) in a woefully inadequate camping swamp- oops I mean area, especially when theres a purpose area already set up for camping in.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself all weekend although the weather could have done with being drier, sunnier and warmer.
The E types were awesome approaching Knickerbrook in the damp. My apologies to Mrs Torquewench for misnaming you when you pulled off with us. |

Good weekend down at Island, enjoyable racing especially the E types and historic touring cars
plenty of pull off's and lots of bits of engine and the tyre walls were a bit unstable must have looked like I was attempting to surf whilst trying to balance and also the muddy slope nearly caught me out |

Thank you from the FF's.
Many thanks for sticking with us and sorting us out flagging and especially the many embarrasing departures from the normal route in Monday morn practice. Although I'm sure, for many, it's a great way to make new friends...Grip was a sort of on, then off, type of surface! Thanks again from the Historic Formula Ford Bunch HFF rep Dikko. |

thoroughly enjoyed both days. shame very little happened on Monday at Lodge so Liz missed her opportunity for an assessment, but the day will come i'm sure. Only my 2nd day as IO so i still have much to learn.
best moment(s) of the weekend had to be watching Jon Minshaw rag the e-type around like it was a Saxo. The car must be worth a bit but throwing that around island on sunday and from the back of the grid to 2nd on Monday left me speechless. saddest moment was the unfortunate demise of a cortina & a.n. other (forget!) who were in an epic battle for most of their race when the cortina lost it on the exit to lodge. as it spun back in to the track the other car had nowhere to go and collided, taking them both out. quality moment after they both got out of their cars tho as the cortina driver promptly walked over to the other guy and gave him a huge "i'm sorry old chap, my fault entirely" hug. priceless and just what the HSCC is all about only request is next year can someone please look at the timetable with a pinch of common sense? timetabling the last race to start at 18:10 is just stupid and was never going to happen. the only way that worked was by sacrificing the lunch break, not appreciated in that kind of weather. Overall i can't grumble, don't think there was a dull race among them! |
