If Delta has no objection, I would like to donate a number of items of motor sport ephemera/memorabilia towards a 'prize draw' raffle, or just plain give away.
Items include the 1987 Grand Prix Guide, Roebuck & Townsend (as new), programme from this years British Grand Prix, a model Jaguar XJR9 Castrol colours, Marlboro Grand Prix Guide (not on sale anywhere ?), Vodaphone McLaren model, a winners magnum signed by Nicolas Minassian from 1998 (? I will check) British Formula 3 Championship., plus various other bits and pieces. Should Delta agree, maybe others may have similar junk to dispose of.
Let me know Delta if you are happy for me to intrude on your charitable jamboree.

Regards,

bauble.

Thanks Delta As usual your efforts gratefully received by tired and hungry marshalling folk. Any idea where you will be?

Please include me and my pal Steve Cearns. Cheers.

At the last count Iain I made it 54 people attending, most marshals are of the thirsty variety so I think we will make quite a good dent in your supplies.

If I can borrow a pair of orange overalls I'll be there

PS; Alan and Fay, get in touch to sort details, please!

PPS If any other photographers, media types, drivers, hangers-on have any items to dispose off please bring them along and I'll sort some raffle tickets to arrange a method of distribution.

Notion 1; A free draw for marshals.

Notion 2; Say £1.00 per ticket with ALL proceeds to got to either defray Delta's costs or for a charity of his choice.

Notion 3; An auction to raise funds for Delta, charity or Marshal's Fund.

Notion 4; Any other ideas?

Look forward to seeing friends old and new.

bauble. AKA Bob the Snapper.

Look forward to looking you up.

The BBQ will be at Deltas truck / awning in the old paddock at 8.15 to 8.30ish on Friday evening. When we find out where Iain is parked we will try to let you all know. Ask myself or Fay at sign on where this is if you don`t know before you arrive at the circuit. Other option is walk around the old paddock until you find a group of marshals.

The BBQ is for all Marshalls, and friends you do not have to be a tenther but by the end of the evening we hope they might be.
I guess I will be in the old paddock, as Alan said as soon as I am parked up I will call him and let you all know where we are. Looking forward to the evening, BTW any veggies out there we will get some food for you. Cheers Iain.

Come, come Delta. I know that many marshals do tend to look a little comatose on duty, but to describe them as vegetables is a bit much.

Been up the circuit people already delivering food, beer and even hard cash to Iain.
Iain is located in the GP2 paddock in the old pits roughly level with the toilets about 2 to 3 rows back from the toilets.

As we are not now coming to the Classic we will obviously not be coming to the BBQ which is a real shame as it is such a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. Alan - please pass on our apologies. See you next year!!!

Many thanks to all of the good folk who bought raffle tickets, and help raise a considerable sum (un counted as yet) for Delta's charities, it was very much appreciated.

Very best wishes,

Bob
