What a fantastic GT3 Race, finally Holzer and Van Splunteren get a win, and there was battles everywhere, a shame Denis Retera had to be a bit of a moron on the last lap though.

So any guess on who will win?
I'm guessing Dumbreck and Krumm. Anyway the race is about to begin soon. |

Holy crap, cars everywhere!
Why can't the WTCC be this good? |

Krumm and Dumbreck win!
Fantastic race, nice to see the GT-R winning on track rather then being given it. |

Wow, what a great race. Beautiful track for GT racing with all the elevation changes. Congrats Sumo Power.

Crazy race, especially in the midfield just before the pitstops, more like NASCAR at Talledega at that point. Very good fun

I was there today (first time at the "roller-coaster" ). What a great racetrack and facilities (puts Estoril into shame, really ).
And great races from the GT3 and GT1 grid (in spite of all the politics). It's only problem is being at the middle of nowhere, far far away from most of the Portuguese population (had to make a 600 km trip, and I live in Lisbon, for the guys at Oporto or farther north, it's double that ) |

A nice mixture of cars all around. Shame only the top Corvette was up there. As mentioned in other posts, they penalized all the Corvettes with weight because Keilwitz and Hohenadel are just so damn good. It's a shame the regulators don't know how to think properly. |

The GT3 race was great! Yep #100 is just the best pairing in the paddock, not much you can do about it. The BMW's looked good, too bad Walter/Hurten suffered a flat and had to change it, otherwise they could have had a podium.
The GT1 race was crazy, especially mid-pack everybody was running about the same lap times that was why. Westbrook just picking his way forward and good job by the Young Driver and Matech crews to get them into better starting positions for the Championship Race. Its already 5:30am and NFL Football in 4.5 hours so I'm going to hit the sack and I'll catch the both the GT3 race and Championship GT1 race sometime later today, also NASCAR from NH, I hope JPM can put it together and get his first oval victory. Actually the WTCC race here was pretty good.... |

I think Sumo Power is going to be a team to watch in the 2nd half and challenge for the Teams/Drivers title next season. Picking up Stephany is easily one of the best "Free Agent" pickups in a quite awhile.

Well done to Sumo Power! I doubted them when they announced their plans but they seem to doing quite well.
Couldnt help but notice whilst watching the races that the stands were mainly deserted which is a shame. |

Anything but F1 will never come close to capacity. LMS at Algarve was the same. |

If Algarve was in Spain I'd understand about no one turning up for a car race (F1 excepted) |

or World series by renault, Alcañiz, attendance 70000 always empty. Probably the GT1 race in Navarra will be as empty as those two photos. And the main races in spain are motorcycles not the F1. Last edited by pablocomics; 20 Sep 2010 at 10:45. |

Had it been built near Oporto, I guess it would pack more fans (then again, as usually around here, the promotion was non existent). |

Where did the Lambos go in GT3? Money issues? They looked stunning in the black livery with yellow accents. The qualifying races were great.
