Marshal's Classic Quiz & Raffle

I believe that only the official Silverstone caterer is allowed to provide food on site, and that one club found having a barbecue a rather expensive affair.
I would suggest that in future that we restrict the event to a quiz and a raffle, and not a barbecue, and as nights in July can be quite chilly, maybe Delta could bring along a couple of free standing heaters to warm our hands etc.

Might be safer.

Derwent Motorsp should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Is there some strange rule for the "Classic"? At MG 90 (or MG Live!) there is always a marshals BBQ in garage 1 on the Saturday run by the MGCC. One would assume that at the Classic all the club displays will be supplying food for members as will the teams, sponsors and traders. That can't have to be done via any offical supplier, for a start the logistics would not work.

I only know what I have been told, but can believe it to be true, so why not play safe.

We both know how silly officialdom can be on occasion.

The catering at the MG BBQ is carried out by the contracted Silverstone catering group (I think its still Aspire).

And maybe as the free standing heaters put out quite a lot of heat we could chuck a few burgers and sausages on them!

Bob, if your tongue is not firmly in your cheek with that post......
