Cold November and cold tyres! Oooh! Me first!

Just who are you calling a wimp?
I was saying I wanted an adventurous drive not a 'first time round the track, take it easy' sort of drive - though you do that sort all the time don't you dear! |

I don't know which was more "interesting" last year. When I went out on cold slicks on a drying track with Debs, Pauls wife, onboard...
Or when I took my race engineer backwards through the bombhole just to prove it could be done... Of course, its all for charidy mate and we don't push the cars that hard... RickP |

Oh you heartless beast!
(You are lucky it's not Knockhill - the circuit were fining the drivers £1000 a bollard!) |

At Cadwell Park one year I saw a driver dispatched in the lunch hour with a shovel and a set of bollards to go put back what he had knocked down to learn his lesson...
£1000 a bollard? My bollard budget wouldve been bigger than my race budget! |

The drivers were none to pleased either. The last I heard they were having a wip round and drawing straws to see who would take the lot out on the first lap. I seem to remember James Thompson took a fair few out.

Chris is the expert... ask him about entering a car. Though I presume it needs to be competition spec or a supercar ?
Who's going ? Chris' Mini (), Rick's V6 Clio (if he's not wrecked it by then...), Hopefully something a little orange (but no official word yet...) and a whole load more. Believe me it's worth the journey... be there or be... somewhere else. |

Basically there's two ways of doing it...
Option 1 Driver brings race car and offers passenger rides to any members of the public who wish to have a go. Passenger pays circuit to buy a ticket for the ride and the money goes to charity. I believe the car is entered for free. Option 2 Driver can bring car and offer his guests/selected members of the public a passenger ride. The driver effectively block books all the tickets for the runs in their car for the day and pays a set amount for this benefit. |

What are you saying Craig - that you were trying to keep it a secret?
It would be a great scoop for the heart Foundation (that is the charity isn't it?) and think of the press possibilities - competitions for rides etc etc. Obviously it all depends on the car being available etc etc. |

We are planning to be there. But if you all want to wimp out and tootle round in one of those Orange things feel free...
For those of you who would like to experience a QUICK lap of Snett, there will be places available in the Beastly Bread Van after I've scared the press, Renault and some sponsors... RickP |

So that means, Rick, that from a driver's point of view, the driver have to come up with the £700 in order for us to have a ride without having to pay anything on the corporate day? Is that what you did for your sponsors and us last year?

That was why I kept on at him to charge us for a ride.
It didn't (and still doesn't) seem right to me for Rick & Paul to pay for the privilge of giving us such a great day. |
