I think Alonso's drive can't be faulted.

Ralf, Klien and Massa also cannot be disregarded, but that was more down to clever strategy then good driving.

Webbers pace was impressive as well !!!! (for a change)

Massa IMO. true he capitalized on Ruben acting as mobile roadblock, but he didn't crack from MW's pressure.

I couldn't possibly give it to Raikkonen. IMO, he only phoned in the effort today, his pace was no better than the midfield cars until the last five laps.

I'm not sure what message he gave by setting the fastest lap on the last lap, but I'm sure McLaren have a message for him: "Well, where did that come from?"

the race I saw on telly had him stuff it under racing conditions which caused the 2nd SC period.

But it was such a boring race, like 20 laps under safety car wasn't it? Webber had pace, if only he didn't make the mistake in qualifying. Even Massa was faster than Button at the end of the race!

If I had to vote, I'd go for Klien.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Ralf. I thought his drive was very good today. Our coverage barely looked at Fernando, so it's difficult to grade him today.

Massa and Klien benefitted from good strategies from their teams. Massa survived good pressure from Webber and even forced the Australian into making some mistakes.

But Ralf took advantage of a racey Toyota and secured a good podium. With Sato succumbing to mechanical failure (presumably) and Button being off the pace, Toyota will be especially pleased, I think.

I think Klien, Ralf and Massa benefitted from Barrichello being slow.. Which doesnt show a true reflection of their race pace.

Well that was a really interesting race wasn't it? So after yawning my way through the Renault tactical performance (Congrats to them for wrapping up the Teams Title) I had to think long and hard about who would be my selection for DotR.

Could it be DC who was on for points until the safety car came out? Rubens for his Ferrari Swansong. Fernando for doing the job? Kimi for trying?

None of them because in the case of Fernando he had Fisi riding shotgun and making up for his poor performnce last week.

Kimi struggled with an unhelpful car and Jaun's race went down the drain.

Where was the excitement then? Somewhere around 5th, sixth and seventh was where my selection comes fromm. Mark Webber who at least made Rubens work hard. So Mark for my choice this week.

Alonso for me. I think the Renault team summed it up nicely over the radio. Webber did alot better than the result reflects too.

7 times WDC, Michael Schumacher, for providing about the only bit of entertainment by spinning off under safety car conditions. (if this was a club race, wouldn't he have had his license endorsed for losing control under the safety car?
