[V8DVS09R04] Fujitsu Series @ Sandown

Being in a metropolitan capital, you would imagine there may be 24 entries or so this round, the crowd favourites returning to try and arrest the points haul of Mr Webb and co.

Who will win?

James Moffat is looking very strong...

Interesting addition to the Sandown field seems to be Mr Reindler, running for McElrea Motorsport, aboard the ex-Bright ex-Courtney SBR Falcon

According to MeN, backing from Fujitsu and Wilson Security shall provide the wherewithal to run at Sandown & Queensland Raceway...

Wonder how he will go? From the news story Mr McElrea hasnt met Mr Reindler before either

I agree GTRmagic. Isn't this a bit of a doubleup in sponsorship as Fujitsu is already backing Assaillit and Wilson Security is a sponsor of PCR and they are running Leanne Tander in the Development Series as well. So you might end up with 2 near identical paintjobs for cars from entirely different teams. I see the entry list is up on the V8 Supercars site and yes we have another entry with a triple number. Isn't there enough numbers between 1 and 100.

so far we have used 111, 222, 333, 444, 777, 888 & 999. I wonder who is going to even try 666

I think a bloked named Phil Nichols (spelling???) tried it a few years ago in the Fujitsu Series in an ex DJR EL.

He put it into the wall Heavily at Eastern Creek! (I think it was EC)

Yes, Phil Nichols did run #666 in V8DS in 2003.
An ex DJR EL (DJR EL8, ex Cameron McLean)

To correct you, he walled it on the main straight @ Phillip Island.

If you have V8SC Greatest Hits Volume 3, look under the chapter Konica Series 2003, if you slow it down you will see the impact in question. Not very pretty to tell you the truth.

Hope this helps.

Phil then had the ex-SBR AU that Gardner wrote off at Bathurst, but I don't think he ever raced it..

Is it just me or does the development series start to seem to be withering a little?

The last two rounds had pretty poor numbers compared to the early days. Has it priced itself out of the market? Or is this a side effect of those who will be going to Bathurst knowing about it well out from the veent and the rest don't need to burn cash to try and show their worth?
