Can't say I'm too fussed on Cooper, he seems a solid peddler but I can't think of any stand or drives in the last year from him. I honestly think Keilwitz will show him up a little on raw pace, but Cooper will offer consistency
You do know he finished second overall and win the SprintX title, right? Michael's very fast and very good.

I do yes, which is why I said he's a solid peddler, and I know he will be super consistent throughout the season with Callaway, I just haven't seen any flashes of wild speed like Keilwitz has offered up in the C7R.

I still think Cooper will end up fighting for a championship, he's consistent and that's how you get championship points building up, but my money is on Keilwitz to provide raw speed and more entertaining battles.

Happy to be proved wrong though

I've thought Keilwitz was an underrated driver for a while now. He does a very good job in the ADAC GT races I've watched, pretty much always making forward progress from wherever he started and in some cases putting in great battles with more well-known GT drivers, yet you rarely hear any mention of him. I've always kinda wondered why he didn't get more gigs outside of the Callaway drive. I know he did a few races in a Pro/Am Ferrari in Blancpain, but with all the GT3 series running all over the world I would have figured a few more opportunities have turned up somewhere.

Good for Cooper too I guess. I haven't really been able to actually watch PWC since he started driving in GT so I don't have too much of an opinion on him aside from the obvious fact that he's qualified for the drive.

Nothing against Cooper, but I will admit a part of me wanted to see Johnny-O back behind the wheel of a Corvette, as unlikely as it was.

Keilwitz won the 2013 GT Masters title and just finished 2nd behind Gouon. Like you said, he's very good. It will be extremely fun to watch he and Michael compete side by side.

2018 Pirelli World Challenge silly season

C360R have been testing 650s GT3s in the past month. Just a guess, C360R as new PWC Mclaren team?

Edit: their Instagram post is fairly suggestive of a GT3 run somewhere...

C360R will not be doing a GT3 McLaren in PWC and I'm not sure we'll see a McLaren over here unless something changes

Wright to IMSA, Magnus back to IMSA, GAINSCO gone, Absolute back to Asia, likely no Mclarens.

Only Callaway back in.

Looking like a little bit of a tough year for PWC in 2018 so far, hopefully we see some quality new teams fill the gaps.

Love to see some Mclarens run for a swan song year, and really hope TR3 bring their Ferrari back

Any idea why they would be doing tire tests in a GT3 if they don't plan on running one?

Getting a tester of the machinery before stepping up in '19 with a 720s maybe?

Well, there will apparently be a lot fewer cars for him to punt off but I'm not sure if that works for or against him.

I've gotten word of three GT3s that aren't on my tracker. Also might have another surprise manufacturer switch

THat PFAFF Porsche looks like. Will be interesting what their second car will be.

I have news that there might actually be a McLaren on the grid. If so, than in January there will be an announcement. Sorry that I can't give more details. Fingers crossed that it will happen.

Big fingers crossed for that Mclaren. Would have thought Mclaren would want a US customer in GT3 with the new 720s GT3 coming in '19

They're running a Cayman in GTS as well- is there a 2nd GT3 car too?

Pfaff is Canadian. Plus they just became a Motorsport Retailer.
https://www.pfaffauto.com/2017/11/21...rsport-dealer/

There are a number of McLaren Motorsport Retailers in the US. The closest one to me is about an our away.

Wasn't referring to Pfaff, I hope someone else will bring the 650s for 2018, so we can see the 720s in PWC for 2019

Since McLaren has a few motorsport retailers in the US now, there should be plenty of McLarens in PWC for 2018 then. All someone has to do is walk into a dealer and order one. It's that simple.

The whole plan will come together when that guy buys two McLarens and then he drives one and pays a pro to drive the other. Each one will be in their respective class.

Best part is, McLaren is doing this which will just get more rich older white guys interested in the product as of right now, they all drive Ferraris in their challenge series because if you are going to drop that coin, it is the place to be. The fringe benefits are top notch. Maybe McLaren will start their own challenge or cup series.
