Nations Cup

Lets drop the P from GTP. These things are out and out sports cars. What do you think about them?

They are not out and out sports cars. The Vipers are only mostly sportscars, the GT3s are closest to road spec, the Jag is...slow.

RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
But also remember that they are *production* Sports cars.

besides, if you look at the categories racing at ProCar meetings now, you see the category names are changing:

Gt production, GT Performance and Nations Cup (essentially Class A dn B of GTP)

Nations Cup has moved the category away from where it started a little bit too far. Too many modifcations to the car, away from production spec which are not safety related, are allowed in my opinion.

I guess it is because people want more cars allowed in and it's the only way of making them competitive. I still find it strange that the Viper GTS was allowed to race as soon as it did, way back when it was still class A of GT-P. As the rules stated two examples in Australia, including the one racing, and the one racing was the only one in the country at the time.

i reckon they should give all the Nations Cup cars big wings and so on on they look like GT cars. Also, give them longer races with pitstops
