Lee should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

To everyone here, I would like to wish the most Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year ever. Be careful, and take care.

Should be a good year for the fans of NASCAR in Europe, just announced, EuroSport will broadcast the entire 38 race Winston Cup schedule for 2001. For those who had complained of them not covering NASCAR this past year, looks like that problem has been remiedied. Congradulations, and enjoy the season.

Same to you Lee. Lets hope that 2001 is a better year for everyone than 2000 was. 2000 wasn't a very good year for me personally because my mother had all kinds of surgeries and complications but it appears that she is heading in the right direction for once.

At any rate, good to see that NASCAR is getting big time exposure on Eurosport. There is a load of talent in NASCAR Winston Cup and it would be a shame for European motorsports fan to not have good TV access to the series.

The only thing wrong with 2001 is the day that the Winston Cup race at my new Kansas Speedway is scheduled. It is the same day as the U.S. Grand Prix. Damn!

Joe,
I'm sorry your Mother had a bad year. I hope she has the best year ever, this comming year, and the same goes for you too. I fully understand your situation. My Mom and Dad both have health problems. I am very fortunate because the Marine Corps saw fit to allow me to transfer from Camp Pendleton, Califorina to my home, in Atlanta, Georgia so that I can take care of them. They are doing well at this time.

Your trouble choosing between those two races would be no trouble for me, I'd be at the new Kansas City Speedway, no doubt about it. The other one is not even a blip on the radar screen IMO.

Again, Happy New Year my friend.

Lee, don't get worried about me, the NASCAR Winston Cup race at the new Kansas Speedway is where I am going to be at, that whole weekend. I am a season ticket holder so I will be at all the races they run there: Winston West, ARCA, IRL, Craftsman Truck, BGN and Winston Cup. I just wish that they weren't the same weekend so I could at least watch the USGP live on TV.

Happy New Year everyone.
I hope your mother has a speedy recovery Joe.
I know how it feels since my mother was taken to hospital on New Years Day. But she's feeling better at the moment and she told me not to worry. Which ofcourse I still do.

Good news from Eurosport finally.
Woohoo, all races are going to be broadcasted.
Last year I had to rely on sources like Jayski's and ofcourse this forum.
Good to know I can add 38 TV race days to my agenda.

Thanks for your concern about my mother guys! All I can say is that if I were in her shoes at various times the past year, I would rather be dead. I wouldn't have the patience to go through all the ups and downs she has been through since early last year--almost all of it being spent in the hospital or a nursing home. I also wouldn't want to go through losing my dignity by not being able to control my own bodily functions. She is doing much better now, walking around pretty good without a walker and she finally has control over her own bodily functions with the help of medication. So it appears that she is finally be taking a step forward without taking two backwards. If so I guess it was all worth it. The biggest problem she is having right now is regaining her short term memory since she had a stroke in early August.

Trust me, if anyone deserves good fortune it is her. With everything that she has been through she has earned it.

Gerard, I hope everthing turns out OK with your mother.
