Agree'd. A full green race with no safety cars (never gonna happen here haha) would have a few cars on the lead lap, and no-one else in the hunt.

I'd also like to thank my friend karma, for paying a visit to FPR, very well done! Can't even fathom how many more crashes or near misses they could have caused if they ran to the end with both cars.

They are going to have a bit of work to do to get both cars ready for Indy in a couple of weeks

This is good news.

I used to rate Frosty, but this weekend he's down on par with Richo now.

I think Jamie could be in trouble over that late move on Bargs.

Yes, but at least unlike previous years efforts, there can be no debate as to the necessity of that last safety car - it was certainly not used as a gratuitous entertainment control vehicle.

Agreed. Boy it changed the race though.

If he doesn't get in trouble, I think it'll be because Bargs kept moving left to squeeze out Jamie, and eventually Jamie would have had to have taken to the grass as he was already committed. Bargs could have avoided the accident if he didn't have a do-or-die approach to trying to maintain a position he was struggling to keep.

I think 7/V8SCTV have redeemed themselves a little with the lack of ads at the end of the race, must have been almost 20 laps without an ad break!

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Well Done to HRT & Holden, they were the best car all day, and the best car won.
Ford need to do something big if they are going to challenge them next year.

The team has 4 chassis... the one Mr Canto kissed the wall with was originally FG01, suitably updated... so there is still a good'n at least in the shed..

Why would you blame solely the driver for these things?

Lets assume that a driver asked his/her team whether anyone was behind them, so they can warm the tyres, and have a serious shot at setting a time. Lets assume that the team said "all clear" on 3 occassions. Lets assume the team got it wrong 3 times!!!!!

Assuming is dangerous.. but its easy to forget that this is a team sport, and there is much direction taken from the pit garage...

Lets assume said driver already admited to seeing the car in his mirrors, and moved to the inside, when they were (apparently) told in the driver briefing to hold your line, and the car behind goes around. To me, yes, thats solely M.Winterbottoms fault.

Perhaps this is the case, however isnt the usual overtaking rule, and it would have been overtaking, that it has to be done cleanly? If you are visibly closing on a car at 100km/h more than them, surely you would notice this and back off??

Not a bad race, well done Skaifey and Murphy, certainly showed up a lot of the more fancied competitors, such a pity they didnt quite make it onto the podium

Also didnt expect to see only one 'ford' in the top 10!!!!

I'm not sure on the specifics, but it was mentioned on the telecast that it was explained in the brief what to do in x situation.

He was on the brakes, what you and i deem as suitable braking might differ tho, just as we might disagree on weather swerving left to right at 40 on a 100k straight is a good idea or not
