GTR's vertical fin on front fender. Nissan says GTR was equipped with new underpanel to increase front downforce at Sepang round. http://www.nissan-motorsports.com/EN...t/3/index.html |

I know right? Not to mention that a couple of seasons ('05, '08, '09) they actually had a pretty competitive car that took podiums and with better drivers would have easily taken wins as well. Or that quite a bit of technology on the fastest cars last season came straight off the TF110 (that never made it to the track) Anyway, back on topic.... |

My SN is from the unraced TF110. The Mercedes this year has a lot of Toyota introduced aero. McLaren as well. Same with Red Bull. Even Ferrari used Toyota's F1 windtunnel. Give that TF109 to someone like Kimi or Lewis and it'd be winning races. SuperGT is a whole different ballpark, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some former F1 personnel in the SuperGT development.

The black car looks like another mock-up because the position of the exhaust tube and bonnet are different. A top category of South Korea is Super Race series to my knowledge. http://www.superrace.co.kr/ |

No relation at all.
A Japanese driver (Takayuki Aoki) participated in the Korean race of the weekend. He found this GT machine there, and have posted it on his blog.(He had driven this Celica in Team Bandoh before.) |

SGT tire manufacturer test is held in Suzuka Circuit from 21st to 22nd in July. In SGT, the frequency that can be tested about one tire manufacturer/ one car model is limited in the gentleman's agreement. Therefore, neither the participation machine nor the team are announced.
Team Nakajima (#32, Dunlop) executed the private tire test in Suzuka on June 29. They airlifted the machine from Sepang for this test(!). In a dry condition, they tested the structure and the compound. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=34667 |

Japanese Samurai do you how many Subaru Legacy built for GT300?
At local motorshow Subaru had a R+D Sports GT300 Legacy on their stand but the windows were all blacked out and there were no brakes, fuel fillers and suspension but the bodywork looks like last years car. Just wondering if it was a mockup or possibly last years car but stripped down to a rolling shell? |

As for Legacy B4, there seem to be two race cars and one full-scale mockup to my knowledge. Race cars are tubular frame car (2011 model) and CFRP reinforcement monocoque car (2010 model) - However, last year's chassis might be remodeled to this year's machine. Therefore, I think that the car is a mock-up one.
GTA announced the special performance adjustment of GT300 from the SUGO round. The performance of JAF-GT300 is improved, and the performance of the FIA-GT car is reduced. The performance of TAISAN Porsche(#26) and NetMove TAISAN Ferrari(#41) is improved, too. ZENT Porsche and Triple-a Vantage GT2 also received the adjustment. However, these performance doesn't change as a result. **Performance up** #2 Cars Tokai Shiden(two restrictors) [1,100kg=23.2/ 1,150kg=23.6/ 1,200kg=24.1 to 1,100kg=23.4/ 1,150kg=23.8/ 1,200kg=24.3] #5 Team MACH RD320R(two restrictors) [1,100kg=26.8/ 1,150kg=27.4/ 1,200kg=27.9 to 1,100kg=27.4/ 1,150kg=27.9/ 1,200kg=28.4] #14 SG CHANGI IS350(two restrictors) [1,100kg=24.0/ 1,150kg=24.5/ 1,200kg=25.1 to 1,100kg=24.5/ 1,150kg=25.1/ 1,200kg=25.6] #22 R'Qs Vemac 350R(two restrictors) [1,100kg=24.9/ 1,150kg=25.4/ 1,200kg=25.9 to 1,100kg=25.2/ 1,150kg=25.7/ 1,200kg=26.2] #31, #74 Team apr Corolla GT(two restrictors) [1,100kg=24.0/ 1,150kg=24.5/ 1,200kg=25.1 to 1,100kg=24.5/ 1,150kg=25.1/ 1,200kg=25.6] #43 ARTA Garaiya(two restrictors) [1,100kg=23.8/ 1,150kg=24.3/ 1,200kg=24.8 to 1,100kg=24.0/ 1,150kg=24.5/ 1,200kg=25.1] #62 R&D SPORT LEGACY B4(two restrictors) [1,100kg=36.8/ 1,150kg=37.5/ 1,200kg=38.3 to 1,100kg=37.5/ 1,150kg=38.3/ 1,200kg=39.1] **Performance down** #9 GSR BMW Z4 GT3 [One restrictor:1,180kg=56.9 to 1,180kg=55.7/ Two restrictors:1,180kg=40.3 to 1,180kg=39.4] #11 JIMGAINER 458GTC(two restrictors) [1,245kg=26.8 to 1,245kg=26.3] http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=34674 |

However, the amount of refueling decreases and the pit stop time has decreased because the race distance was shortened (300km to 250km) due to the earthquake at this season. The damage of tires has decreased, too. As a result, the fault of the FIA-GT car was covered. Additionally, competitive teams (and drivers) make the FIA-GT car run at this season. Of course, the FIA-GT car has evolved, too. |

Sports-carracing.net reports the performance tuning of GT300
The performance tuning of GT300 had been decided depending on lap time and race result until last year. However, the performance difference in an one lap cannot be adjusted only by them (FIA-GT2, 3 cars are excellent at a straight speed, and as for the JAF-GT300 car, the cornering speed is excellent.). So, in addition to these, the running data of the data logger is used as basis of the performance tuning from this year. The performance tuning had been done about the engine power and the vehicle weight until last year. The ride hight is used as a method of the performance tuning from this year. The suspension performance is decreased easily by changing ride hight so that the base of the FIA-GT3 car is a stock car. Therefore, it was assumed that ride hight of the JAF-GT300 car was changed. Ride hight of the FIA-GT2 car, the FIA-GT3 car, and the ACO-GTE car has been decided as shown in each homologation. http://www.sports-carracing.net/specialedition.htm |

GTA announced that the flow restrictor valve would be installed in the refueling system from SUGO round.
The purpose is "to secure the driver alternation time during refueling". ??? This regulation change will act in the disadvantage for FIA-GT cars with bad fuel consumption. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=34977 Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 20 Jul 2011 at 11:16. |
