Thanks deggis. Those links try to open in iTunes but nothing happens, not compatible? If anyone could post a different link, I know how to get past any geoblocking.

iTunes?
1. copy the link/URL 2. install VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc 3. in VLC, Ctrl+N or Media > Open Network Stream 4. paste the link the first 24 Minutes magazine is now on on Eurosport 2, live session follows it. Last edited by deggis; 19 Jun 2013 at 15:41. |

Just for the record, it should work with Media Player Classic - Home Cinema the same as VLC.
You can also google some guide to use shaders in that video player to sharpen the image and improve quality if you feel capable, it's not hard to do. There are a lot of little guides like this one Here is a quality comparison : Eurosport Player Media Player Classic (with shaders and external filters) |

The links a great from Deggis. I usually purchase Eurosport Player for £5 when Le Mans is on but these links in a media player is much better quality, especially at full screen.

I have nothing to do with these links but I'm pretty sure these are infact the same feeds you get on Eurosport Player. Someone with a subscription has just packet-sniffed the bare links. The bitrate/language alternatives and especially the "Akamai" part in the domain are pretty obvious hints. |

Yes, I'm comparing different qualities, because with Eurosport Player you don't get HD. 1800kbps is the maximum bitrate aviable.
It's very strange and illogical to get better quality for "free" than paying... |

But if the point was to show how much an external player can improve the image vs. official Eurosport Player (=MS Silverlight player) then that comparison makes no sense.

Well since ES player has been deliberately BoPed you can't see it's true performance anymore, it can't be a fair comparison anyway

I've been watching some NBA this year with 4500kbps rate and it was simply wonderful... I wish ES had that sort of bandwidth

Really wish RLM and the eurosport VLC links would be closer synced. Mine is atleast 45+ seconds behind RLM. Thankful for the pictures though!

Thank you very much. So I'm assuming that if I'm 45 seconds behind the actual eurosport feed. I put 45 seconds into the start time of the RLM feed and that should hopefully sync it up better?

Beat me to it deggis
Don't know how many seconds it is, but it's easy to sync anyway. - You have to open two instances of VLC, here is how to enable it. - Open RLM (link above in deggis post) in one player, and the video stream posted here on the other (mute the audio). - A good way to sync both is to wait for the start of the race. Listen carefully to RLM on your player and when the commentator says "green, green, green" (or whatever) you pause it and wait until the other player where Eurosport stream is played catches, then clic "play" again on RLM and voila! Sounds complicated but it's pretty easy, and for a long race like this one it's worth it. Then you only have to cross fingers so any of the two don't lag so you don't have to sync again. |

Probably the Eurosport links posted on the previous page, don't know anything about iOS video players but there has to some media player app that knows how to play such streaming formats.
On Android, MX Player plays them fine, there seems to be a version for iOS too. Maybe that works? |

I'm sorry if this has been already covered, but will there be live stream on the FIA WEC page like it was for the previous 2 races?
