I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything - should be worth seeing anyway.

Anyone have a set of finals they could send me not on BRSCC Site.

Usually come in handy!

Thanks
Chris

No,
When the world record attempt for MR2 at Rockingham I dont think marshals were required on post! But thats not saying that marshals will not be needed on post!
What are they atcually trying to do!
I dont think that anyone has been told or decision been decided!

( Does anyone have finals? )

Cheers
Chris

Nope, but I am unable to stay for it due to other commitments, so will have to leave early. Is this sort of thing frowned upon?

I can attend, but will not be able to stay for the Record attempt as I need to be elsewhere in the evening.

Most Ferraris on one track. Not sure what it was before but there was around 380+

One hell of a long line of all different models, shapes colours etc and only one car with a foreign plate.

What a nice day today was!
My first time at Silverstone for ages and I was made to feel very welcome by all I spoke with - even a Handshake from the Chief Marshal.

The brekky voucher and lunch bag were much appreciated, as was the Ferrari badge I got given as well.

At Vale we managed to get the No27 F1 Ferrari twice - first when he popped his engine and sploshed his oil everywhere (Red Flag) and later when he simply conked out!
Also had one in the barrier earlier on - in at the deep end for the two trainees on post, who performed superbly.

Today reminded me of all the good times I used to have there, when I used to get invited to the GP!!!!

Mark, I saw you but didn't get a chance to say hello.

I think you were the busiest part of the circuit! Bit quiet at Becketts in!

Thanks to everybody for your help so far, glad to hear that you are enjoying it. Let's hope tomorrow is just as good and that the weather holds (there, that's cursed it).

Ferrari are to thank for breakfast and BRDC/Silverstone for the lunch bags after Ferrari pulled out at the last minute (hence nothing on Friday).

For those that want to know the answer to the original post, no we did not have to stay on post for the world record parade and I'm sorry that it wasn't made clear beforehand.

It's not a problem to me if you will be late or need to leave early provided that you tell us as soon as you know, ideally a few days in advance. Please don't use email in the final 24 hours before a meeting because, for example, I came straight here from work on Thursday afternoon and I'm sure many other chiefs do the same for at least some meetings. Text is fine but do remember to include your full name.

An interesting weekend. Wonderful to see so many old 246 Dinos, 275 GTB and even a 166 Barchetta from 1953. Must have been over 500 Ferraris there including 42 F40s. At the 50th anniversary meeting there were only 19!

Bruno Senna drove well in the F430 winning both races although he was more closely pressed in the second one.

Yes Sundays posts have gone. I'd just like to say what a good three days were had, low on numbers Fri/Sat, but all that exotic machinery made up for that. Looking forward for the '' Centenary '' meeting...... if I make it.
