Seasonal Changes for 2001?

It is looking more and more like the CART FedEx series will be visiting both European venues next year. Good news for European fans of CART. Apparently the Public Board of Investors has voted both the Lausitzring and Rockinghoam be added to the schedule for next year along with the street race in Monterrey, Mexico. The room for these races will likely come at the expense of the races at Homestead and Nazareth. All has yet to be voted on by the Board of Franchise Holders yet.

autosport backs this up, although i'm not sure how far it can be trusted at the moment, having sworn blind villeneuve will be driving for benetton, and that jenson button is looking for a job.

i think 2 races is a bit over the top - it's an untested formula, and it'd suffer if there were 2 unpopular (as it were) races, when they could have got huge crowds in brazil or the usa.

so long as they're in rockingham next year with the cars, i don't care.

I disagree, if they are going to do it, they have to do both. A bit risky, but that's one things CART has to do, take risks. You don't get anywhere without taking them. PLus, irl is looking at a luatzinring date, cart does not want to get shut out of that.
