Got to say its the first time since about 2010 that I have actually looked forward to a WTCC/WTCR season, but man it must be the worst looking grid ever livery wise.
Does anyone else think WTCR sounds like an American radio station. |

TCR Germany is for underfunded drivers and wannabe racers. This is a strong statement, I know.
I really can't see why the Chinese would invest on Hyundai's victory. |

Wow, that is BIG statement. I can only assume that you have inside knowledge of all the drivers and teams to be able to make it. |

A few interesting notes from WTCR Blog (or how is it called now):
http://hosszabbitas.hu/wtcc/fura-tes...as-wtcr-szezon 1) Pastor Maldonado should have been the 26th driver, but recieved a last-minute offer from WEC 2) BoP is not finalized yet 3) Success ballast for driver that was supposed to be run this year may be changes to compensation weight for manufacturers a.k.a WTCC style |

Interesting interview with Shedden (on Serbian)
http://www.serbiaring.com/vesti/sede...aj-postignuca/ Allan McNish was the guy who called Shedden and pushed him to become factory Audi driver Also Shedden is saying that NGTC and TCR cars are 95% same and TCR cars price is half of NGTC car price. |

The Hyundai is seen as the best TCR car so what better car to run while you're developing your own car. Also, they'll want to retail Bjork and Muller. Finally, they're investing in race rythm for the team to run their own cars. I can't speak for Geely but those are 3 reasons why I'd do it

We will have to deal with success ballast in any way.. It's just a matter of system they use
I'm not particulary against any additional penalisation (but yeah, should have removed that) as long as it makes fair racing. And to be honest, compensation weight is more fair vs penalising particular driver, although ballast per driver leads to interesting championship battles and is simple to understand. |

Compensation weight is the same thing as BoP, the only difference is the circuit-based (or the lap times-based) calculation. But the TCR category has a worldwide BoP, the compensation weight would be valid for the WTCR only. And it won't follow the TCR philosophy. I don't like it. Compensation weight would be fair if the TCR BoP was calculated in a similar way as the Blancpain GT3 BoP. |

The problem is didn't work in the old WTCC, if you have to have success ballast, it has to be a way that works fairly

https://www.touringcars.net/2018/04/...-local-talents
Ribeiro says there's going to be 2 locals at Hungary, Germany, Netherlands and Portugal. Any guesses who? Hungary maybe Dániel Nagy and Attila Tassi, Germany I hope Sabine Schmitz but it might be Luca Engstler or René Münnich though Petr FulÃ*n will race (is there a grid limit here?). Netherlands with Niels Langeveld and Jaap van Lagen or Nicky Catsburg would be good if they aren't busy. José Rodrigues and Manuel Fernandes have both wild carded in Vila Real a few times. Who knows. |

As far as I heard, the won't be any limit at the Nordschleife, so theoretically more than 2 additional cars may enter.
Subject to confirmation, of course |

According to hungarian sources Zengő Motorsport could have been race with KIA C'eed with some factory backup/support.
