Apart from F1, What is your favourite motorsport series
Apart from F1, which I adore, it would have to be the ALMS for me. I just can't think of one particular reason why I like it so much, it's just so good !!!

I like touring cars. The competition is so stiff and the racing is outta hand. The BTCC is great but we get it on Speed after the season is finished. The speed GT and Touring cars are very exciting. Huge field. In fact some races there are too many cars so they have to pick the top 40. Cars like the ITR and 3series BMW compete head to head in the touring cars. In GT there are Corvettes, BMW's factory backed Audi's and a SC NSX, good stuff. The JGTC is another that we never see in the US. Toyota, Nissan and Honda are the main participants with Supras, Skylines and NSX's. I have some tapes of them but they are all in Japanese.
CART is tough for me. The races are impossible to follow. Not until everyone has pit do we even know who is leading the race. Not because of close racing but because of silly rules. Maybe it is the coverage that ruins it. If the folks covering it were as motivated as they are for NASCAR it might be better. Speed is doing a better job this year but since Honda is leaving this year I might not set my VCR anymore. |

I voted CART, but where is MotoGP? That is far more important the the WSBK, particularly to the manufacturers and fans alike.

I love Cart. But I voted Nascar. There is just nothing on earth like it. Close side by side racing, as well as plenty of fender banging action. Each race is unpredictable, you literally have no idea who the winner will be untill you get to within the last 15 laps or so, and even then it's not assured. Starting positions are close to meaningless, in the past people have come back from being 1 lap down to win a race, no joking. In 9 events so far this season the pole sitter has yet to win. And last year out of 36(I can't remember the exact number) or so races the pole sitter won only 3 times.
To all those to don't watch Nascar, you don't know what your missing. Watch it if you can. To all the people who think they are above watching Nascar because it's not sophisticated enough for them, or because they don't like oval racing. I feel really sorry for you. nuff said. I really enjoyed F3000 last year, although this season it appears to be so insignificant that nobody is showing it on TV.
I sometimes watch BTCC and World Superbikes as well (but that's really only because Neil Hodgson is from Burnley and I go to school with his cousin). |

DTM Rules.
I've been watching Champ Car this year and it seems to be a shadow of it's former self. Long Beach was Dull and Motegi isn't meant to be any better |

I'm between F3000 and CART; finally I voted F3000 because I follow it in more consistency than CART.

I used to love F1 so much and no other motorsport came close. Butlast season and this I have enjoyed touring cars much more than F1 races. It helps that at touring cars you can get closer to the action and chat with drivers etc. You feel like the teams and drivers actually care about their fans. I've followed touring cars for as long as I've followed F1.
I think it was that procession at Imola that finally convinced me. Touring cars (BTCC,DTM,ETCC etc) are more equal and therefore more competitive and it all makes better racing! I'm also getting into the superbikes - World and British. We won tickets and it was really good. |

Les 24 heures du Mans.
History, drama, great cars, overtaking (yes really F1 fans), approachable and pleasant teams and drivers, and no Max n'Bernie to ruin the show. |

WRC of course.
Where else do you see drivers go over such difficult terrains at those speeds. WRC is for the real drivers and a must to watch. |

The competition in V8 Supercars is almost as bad as F1! One driver, one team domination.

Best motorsport series - Maureen on Driving School!
Sorry, UK based joke but it involves a retired plump lady with no teeth, a screeming husband and a 'sooped' up blue Lada! |
