Also, just seen the test on TV up here What sort of quality engineering produced the flapping front end on the Ford....

Well is you want to compare a race to a test weekend then the test was less than the 12 hour although even if it was on a different weekend the test would still be less.

However if you want to compare the 12 hour against a normal v8 race weekend, then it would rank 16th on the list. Note there are 15 v8 race weekends

Front of the FGX looks good I think. Not sure about the blacked out area of the #17 and #55 though, but I am looking forward to seeing them all in the flesh on a few weeks.

The missing lipstick?
Here on the BOC car.

How many licenses does one need to drive those transporters? Very impressive piece of hardware.

The FGX liveries do still look a little unfinished.

The accent around the nose, the detail work like on the 888 & Jobri cars, might help break up the colours

The Aston Martin solution, which is where these styling cues seem to have been 'borrowed' from, is very 'lipsticky'...

...from the Aston Martin St Gallen entry at Bathurst on the weekend..

..or from the Nurburgring..

I got the joke and it is funny

However its a bit rich coming from Garth, he has been sitting in a plum ride for ten years and has done virtually nothing with it. Nick should be in Car two in 2015 and GT should be helping out the back marker team and using some of his sponsorship to move them forward

In the super test on sunday GT was tenth and Nick was 17th, hardly an awesome achievement by the factory and fully sponsored driver.

GT was 9th in the factory car in 2014. Nick was 12th in the the virtually unsponsored car.

Time he made way for some young blood

I stated last year I was surprised Ryan renewed GT and not put Percat in his ride. He could have been up there with Scotty & Chaz I'm sure if he was given that opportunity.

HRT management, along with their sponsors, clearly have more faith in Mr Tander, than they do Mr Percat. Bathurst winner or not, Mr Percat is still a relative nobody in the grand scheme of things, and only just getting a full-time gig last year hasn't really helped that. Marketability plays a much bigger role than most would think.

True... but aside from using Garth's image to sell MAD Magazine since, oh before Garth was even born, I can't recall Garth being all that marketable...

Frosty seems to be happy with the new FG-X, it would be funny if he won the championship after the recent jokes from T8 about him.

I could understand the anti GT talk if he had been awful recently but he was one of the best performers at the end of last season (PI and Sydney 500 particularly impressive). He's more than good enough for his seat.

He's also test/development driver for HSV and I'm told very very good at that.
