Brilliant drive by Cook. Butcher still has to really try to finally win.
RWD cars completely useless at a 'RWD friendly' track that Oulton allegedly is.

Are we looking at a ride height issue for Cook? Roller wasn’t going under the splitter as they cut to adverts

I was wondering the same - it seemed it would go under with a bit of a shove but it definitely wasn't going under cleanly like we normally see.

It is claimed to be RWD friendly because the BMWs have done well in recent years. I think BMW friendly might have been a better description. I've always felt FWDs have gone well around here. In the wet the difference is even more noticeable. Even Sutton, perhaps the best wet weather and RWD driver on the grid couldn't get a good result

Yes, maybe that's really the fact of BMWs going well around here usually.
At the end of the day I hope good cars can be good everywhere, regardless of being FWD or RWD.

And it doesn't sound like HARD will be back at base before Knockhill, so they need to have enough spares for there as well...

Rules are rules but I don't like it. Great drive by Cook, great battle with it and results decided long after it... shame. And Butcher inherits win.. not for the first time if I remember correctly?

That is a real shame for Cook, but it's not without precedent - Shedden and Sutton have both suffered in the same way in the last few years, so probably not any wriggle room in the regulations.

Allowed by whom? I thought the winner is decided after 27 races of getting points, it's not decided by anyone....

Cook's was legal though, same thing that happened at Knockhill a couple years back.

you mean like last year were he was fired off 3 times in row ? Butcher at Knockhill, Collard at Silverstone and by Neal at Brands Hatch

How was it legal? The roller didn’t fit under it? I love Cook. That was an awesome pass for the lead. He was the best driver, legal car or not. But it quite clearly failed the checks. What information do you have that says it passed?
