Filming last round at Oulton
What was the general consensus of oppinion regarding the filming of the the last round of NWFF at Oulton Park and how do we progress it further. I think it would be a great idea but it would be nice to know that everybody would actually feature in the filming and not just the leading few.

Well four is a start. I think we need to hear from Diz regarding the way forward as he knows who everybody is on here.

greenboy will have to become yellowboy. He has bought a banana coloured Reynard FF89 [just like yours] from that very nice British Airways Captain, Clive 'Biggles' Thompson.
As for the filming, I am waiting on a flyer from Mike Jones to include in the next newsletter. Redracer77 will not be allowed within shouting distance of any microphones. |

It's allowed, as not a commercial venture.

Would be advisable to get proper media accreditation, however.

I am up for paying towards the filming. I was keen to buy an in car camera anyway for the last round so saves me the trouble.
Once it is done you can submit it to Sky and they would put it on World Motor Sports so speaking to MSV early would be a good idea? |

I'd like to see how it works, would they do both races - pre and post - for the £500? I don't see why not? This would lower the cost even more. Also, there might be marshals who would go for a copy?
I'm definitely keen to try it |

Could only submit it to Sky if MSV get many £k in some kind of fee. It is no fee if it is done for no commercial gain. Mike, The intention is to cover both races. |

So it would be filmed in a "TV" style? One camera or many round the circuit?

I am sure we can have a word with the powers that be to "let us off" as we are a local championship?
I will call and find out |

Who is doing the filming? How many cameras are they using and are they broadcast broadcast quality? Who will be doing interviews? Will commentary be added? Why are they doing it for £500?

Not really. Just questions that need to be thought about if you're contemplating getting it broadcast.
I'd not heard about this until I saw the thread - is this being used primarily just for interest, or will it be used by drivers to market the championship/themselves in seeking sponsorship? In such a case, a good quality voice over would be required. |

I don't think there has been any thought of getting it broadcast. We would need to see the quality first anyway.
The idea is that for about £12 to £15, each driver could have his own video, or DVD reminder of the race. Did you have a name in mind for a 'good quality voice over'? You're too busy being a journo, moderator and occasional accountant anyway. |

Well some people (see above) had mentioned taking it to World Motorsport. I suspect if you'd need to have someone do the voiceover for free, but even then there would be additional editing which would add to the costs.

But if you were going to get a voiceover, there's people like Chris Hartley who do a lot of this kind of work.
