Ummm..... i cant work out how the how the fact that its on Howard Racing's website that you think that it is 888's livery.
The number on the side is 37 as well.
Not 88 or 888

Howard were said to have bought a 888 car....perhaps have they have gotten some sort of deal with betta for the development series....or perhaps they are lazy and dont feel like changing the car after they bought it.

It was in MNews mag, that Macrow was likely to take on Betta sponsorship in the developement series before pairing up with Yvan Muller for Sandown and Bathurst in #88.

Maybe before changing my topic title, you should do your research.

This livery was confirmed on another forum as being the 2005 livery (as per a visit to the 888 Workshop)

That is the Howard Motorsport livery that will be on the car that Adam Macrow drives. I'm told the 888 cars will have more silver on them including the roof.

Um lets see... racing livery shown on Howard Racing's website, with neither 2005 full time main series driver names on the door is claimed as the 2005 version for the 888 team, despite the different sponsor package of that team.

No research required other than that....

Ahem...

"Other Forum huh... is he related to TBA??

It would be very disappointing for 888 if their 2005 paint scheme was launched on their customer's website....

someone over on Conrod claims to have seen the 888 cars and has said that they are the same as the Howard car, just replace the white bits with silver, and add grey wheels and a half grey half blue roof - voila! 888 will be thrilled

Good to see Betta supporting the Development Series as well as Break Free staying on board.

I wonder why "Go one better" isn't written on the leading edge of the bonnet, it looks a little odd without it.

In the top shot, it looks like they borrowed the front bar from another team.

I wonder if 888 and Howard are going to be investigated by tega?

Why? Level 1 teams are allowed to field cars in the Development series. AVESCO even acknowledge this, so much so they have introduced a privateers cup in the development series open to non-L1 backed teams.

I think the Howard Racing cars looks BETTER than the 888 ones!

I think the detailing is much better done (and I like the white more than the silver).

For example, the white bumpers are blended into the blue guards better, as opposed to the 888 car where the front splitter is just painted silver. There is extra yellow along the sides of the bonnet which I think is better, and the rear of the car is all white (with much better done bolder detailing on the "spikey" livery) instead of silver & yellow on the 888 car, so I think the Howard paint work is massively tidier.
