TheHun should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Nordic or else?

Please share your view on the Coca-Cola Nordic Racing team.

* How could a championship winning team sink so far?
* What is in store for the team and it's drivers?
* And finally, how many points will they collect this season?

I appreciate your input and indeed it will help a lot of us to understand the above issues and difficulties that a top team may face.

They were a championship winning team for *one* season and they had two vastly experienced drivers.

Now they have two rookies (relatively speaking). Look at Arden. 4th year Enge and they're running at the front. I dont rate Enge at all, but he's very experienced so he can get up to speed in the cars and tracks very quickly.

Did Arden acquire any race engineers from Nordic, or the team (Nordic) is relatively stable? If so, that would underline your view of driver inexperience. I do however think, that it may not be that straight forward, as they continously report technical difficulties. Even before the last race they have put the gears together in the wrong order for Zs. Baumgartner!!!

This could have happened to any team in any sports, why is everybody picking on Nordic?

Is is deception?

I just think their driver choices were poor. Baumgartner didn't impress at Prost, he was the one who brought the money, while the talent Briscoe was theoretically bringing seemed to be left at the Toyota factory.

The machinery this year is new, which theoretically should disadvantage rookies less (they still have to learn the tracks, but no one has any advntage on them in terms of car knowledge), and seemingly Nordic don't have a handle on it.

you do have to balance talent, money and pr, especially in something as high profile as f3000. i guess they got that bit wrong.

I have to defend Baumgartner as his time with Prost was quite stormy. The team was struggling (the result we all know) hence they tried saving money by reducing the support staff allocated. So Baumgartner ended up with NO race engineer allocated to him and of course all this in his maiden year in F3000. Do you think this might have something to do with performance?
