HQ's at the Mount

Morris and Colin,
I heard on the weekend that there is going to be a 1 hour race for HQ's at bathurst.
True or not.
If so will a HQ make it for an hour around the mount without having to stop for fuel or run out of brakes. And if it is a goer, know anyone with a spare car

I have done a two and a bit hour stint at the old Winton 24 hour!
1 hour at Bathurst would be a piece of pis*
The brakes and tyres would still be good at the end and I think it would go that far on a tankfull at the Mount!
I have a car sitting here going to the highest bidder!
It has a good history, pole position at Bathurst 10 years ago.

RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lets see - range of an HQ is around 150 km - give or take a metre or two. One hour around Bathurst is approx 20 laps - at 6.213 km per lap thats roughly 124 km - so they would make it fuel wise.

But - do they have enough panels to make one hour? mean - they tend to rop guards, doors, bonnets, boot lids on almost every corner at most tracks - over a 6km course.....could end up with an HQ looking like at go-kart at the finish

One Hour of Qies at the Mountain??? Ohhhh Me like!

But are they going to provide the flaggies with Catchers Mitts and Spatulas to scrape em off the walls given the propensity of the HQ's to turn to smelly brown stuff in a hurry?

Says he who had a 4 car HQ fracas at Calder a fortnight ago....

Which meeting will this HQ 1 hour race be held at, the V8 1000 or the Procar 24 hour?

Why not launch a 10-10's pit and team?

We could stay at Mount's place and put Ford stickers on one half of the car for the conscienscious objectors/

Yeah I saw Bo Seton at Wakefield Historics with a P plate.

They won't let you race at Bathurst with a P because it is not safe for inexperienced drivers. (except if you are in a Formula Ford, Suzuki Cup, etc)
