Mighty Mini regs.

Hello peeps, nice forum you've got here, been reading over the last few days- very informative.

A quick question- In the Might Mini regs it says the exhaust can be replaced from the cat flange back. Does this mean the flange before or after the cat? i.e. can the cat be ditched?

I've tried to join a Mighty Mini driver's forum but haven't had any feedback from them yet so sorry if this post is in the wrong place.

Thanks in advance-
Ste

This isn't really the right place to ask about technical regs, as this forum covers lots of series from around the globe, and isn't meant to be technical.

However, I can tell you that the cat can go - but you may need to replace it come MOT time if your car is 'L' reg or younger.

If you need more technical help, email the Craig Rogers and tell him you're building a Mighty, or failing that, contact Rodger Tello direct.

Many thanks Chris. I've found Rodger to be very helpful upto now but wasn't sure if I should bother him with tech queries.

The reason for the question was that I ordered an exhaust for my Girlfriend's Mini and when it arrived yesterday they sent me a Maniflow de-cat pipe too. I was going to return it but if I can use it on the Mighty Mini I obviously won't bother.

I'm only at the very first stages of this. I've never raced before and only applied for my MSA pack 3 days ago. I've been doing track days for a while and decided that the urge to race had become too much. Rodger sent me the tech regs and they arrived yesterday (although I'd downloaded them from the CandFRacing site already). I still need to find a car to start the build on.

Any help or leads to a potential car for sale appreciated.

Thanks again-
Ste

'He' has already seen them.

It's not like there are much cheaper ways of getting on circuit are there- or am I being stupid?

Erm... why not?

This forum is for people to discuss 'National & Club Racing' is it not? Surely helping a newcomer pick which series to do by offering helpful advice and pointing out factual reasons rather than dropping hints and giving each other knowing winks wouldn't be frowned upon.

I'm aware the BRSCC has bumped its entry fees up this year- is there anything else I should be aware of, or any other helpful constructive help anyone can offer?

Ok then, if this isn't "a discussion for this forum.." where should I be discussing it?

Answers would be appreciated- I don't want to throw my hard-earned at this if there's a much cheaper way.

Thanks in advance.

The Racer's Forum would be a better place to discuss it, and there's been one or two threads in the recent past on this very subject. Try this thread: http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=41200

Oh, and if you want a more direct answer - try 2CV racing or MGOC/MGCC racing for starters - I'm sure the denizens of the Racer's Forum will be able to suggest more.
