staid davenport has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix timetable
Hi.

(first off appologies if this isn't in the right place - I had a look and couldn't decide on anywhere better!)

Does anyone know what the support races are going to be for the Abu Dhabi grand prix this year? Is there a timetable published anywhere yet? I'm going and getting a bit excited now!

(Incidentally - why is it called the Abu Dhabi GP, and not the United Arab Emirates Grand Prix?)

My guess... They don't want to promote the regions around them because they have put a trillion billion dollar sportscomplex there and it would be a bit silly to promote the UAE instead of Abu Dhabi.

Probably because it takes place in Abu Dhabi which is a part of the UAE as is Dubai etc

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE, so that's probably why they wanted to name the GP after the city.
