Egg [iV8SC14R232425] Coates Hire Ipswich 400, Qld Raceway-1-3 Aug

Four weeks til the next round of the series.. far too long for many, with only a 2 week break between Darwin & Townsville.

And the paperclip is baaaaccckkkk!

The home of testing for each of the Qld based teams..

So.. who might have a shot of running well there? 888, FPR, HRT, GRM?

Lots of stop start stuff so might bring the Nissan into the mix. And is the new engine package for Erebus showing up at this round? Here's hoping!

Will BJR do well here? Qually speed isnt translating into race speed over the distance, especially with spinning wheels and the like...

#222 for the win?

So I'm a paperclip virgin having moving to sunnier climes from Melb this year.

Question re driving into the track. Can you park up anywhere close to the fence line like you can at PI ?

For the very first time at Queensland Raceway, V8 Supercars are rolling out a Park and View ticketing option at the Coates Hire Ipswich 400.

Race goers will now have the opportunity to view all the V8 Supercars Championship action on the ‘Paperclip’ in pole position, all from the comfort of your car. Located on the peak of a bank, on the Falken Straight, just past the Dunlop Corner, fans will get an up close unobstructed view as the V8 Supercars drivers fly down the straight.
Close to toilets, Merchandise Alley and food and drink stands this is a great way to get the most V8 Supercars action.

Pricing options are listed per vehicle as an addition to general ticket price and each person in the car must have a valid V8 Supercars Coates Hire Ipswich 400 event ticket.

All Details HERE!

V8sc must be getting desperate for ticket sales in coming up with this idea no way known is the back straight any way close to the merchandising alley and last time I was there only one food stand was there & that was close to turn 3 nearest toilet facilities were near turn4 unless they move portable units to the back straight your going have a long walk.

Of course there are nearby facilities, there's acres of open bush behind it.

Wow how's that... Early days but that's good news. Imagine if Dahlgren can turn it on in the second half?

Also is Erebus the first team ever to test here to actually go fast?

Alas back to normal for volvo. Scott at the top, Dahlgren near the bottom

FPR still strong

HRT and Triple 8 mid pack

Erebus have dropped of a bit, still tyres banks are key here

less than a second apart

the good thing is they all seem pretty charismatic and media savvy. wonder which of those might do remarkable things like Murf or Lowndes, or incite passion like Frosty or MA.

Russell was allegedly born in 1964, that would make him 50 this year, more than double these guys.

Allan Moffatt retired on his 50th birthday, with an enduro win! Brock first retired at 50, Dick retired at 52.
