Proper "Ralf's future" poll

Judging by people's responces to the other thread on Ralph's F1 future. I thought we should put together a proper poll just to see the numbers on this issue.

Ahhh it won't let me edit!
Of course I mean Ralf Shumacher even though I wrote Ralph up above.
I took the options from the general feelings that were presented in the "Is Ralf Shumacher's time in F1 up?" thread which was supposed to be a poll but somehow wasn't

Hope this makes sense.

Sad indeed.

i think he´ll stay in f1, but not in a top team...

german media was reporting "links to mclaren mercedes", but it was rtl who said so, therefore no truth in it, reality is that manager weber said something about if they want hm, he might go there...but i ´m sure that mclaren won´t take him...

bye bye ralf

I meant "proper" in terms of the other poll wasn't exactly a real poll as the options were all messed up. Not that this thread will literally be the deciding factor for Ralfie's future

And I'm guessing that you voted that Ralf should stay put right Red? Less competition for the Ferrari's that way huh???

I can't see him staying at Williams especially with the feud going on with BMW & drives at other top teams look limited so i suppose if he is to stay in F1 it'd have to be in a lesser team.

Mark Webber has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
In F1 where he is should be I hope he does leave williams as I hope BMW do as well but if he does stay at williams Ralf will do just as he is doing this year BEATING JPM

Yeah I don't belive a word of that report. Why would McLaren want Ralfie? He's no better than Coultard even on his best days.

Teddy, if I wanted less competition for Ferrari I might have several ideas of mixing chassis/engines AND drivers... (you don't wanna know them)

HA, i just thought of a wierd and stupid idea. Do you think Ferrari might hire him as their number 2 driver, or a test driver, in order to keep Shumi M racing with them...you know, keeping the family there?

I don't think he belongs in a top team. He'd be ideal for helping Sauber stave off the advances of the funded works teams, or helping someone like Toyota or Jaguar (if they lost Webber) develop, but I don't beleive he's giving Montoya enough of a challenge, or that his presence in the team is beneficial.

Are you trying to tell us that Williams should contract a weaker driver, to give Montoya more of an even challenge?

Hey TG thanks for the big ups!!

It never ceases to amaze me how RS's supporters only look at his numbers and not at his race performances. After all the Williams is fast enough to finish consistently in the top six. If a racer should do what RS does every weekend they would finish 5th or sixth each time. JMP is not willing to settle for that. Its good and bad. He will get better results but he will also overdrive the car.

I would much rather see someone go off because they were going really fast and made a mistake than to see them getting passed and run off the track stricken by fear and lack of ability.

I vote, Icecream truck.

I haven't voted, simply because I can't make my mind up. Ralf is, I think, at times a very quick driver. Whether his potential can somehow be consistently tapped, or whether he's simply erratic, I just can't judge.

Wow I am amased so many people have voted that he deserves a top drive. From the other thread I got the distinct impression that most felt he should be in a lesser team or was too slow/gutsy for F1.
Like I said before more than likely their not Ralf fans but Ferrari or McLaren supporters who are happy to have at least one Williams driver they don't have to worry about

Well why would McLaren want him anyway, with the 2 Dennis Dreamboats in Kimi and DC, its hardly necessary, unless they want to appease Mercedes Benz....

Just flick over to Chrysler branding, and put a good old boy on board Gil de Ferran, geez thats a fun name, is he from Ohio??

WTF is a "bobby car"?

Anyway, I can't decide between staying in F1 but not in a top 3 team or trying another category.

I don't lke to ****can drivers of any category- I think they are amazing. Well, most of them anyway. Maybe he could have a seachange and go to Winston Cup or WoO? Hmmm...

My vote on option 2
It's certainly true that the boy must thank his brother and manager for the career done up until now, and consequently he may not receve all that fan support, but considering him a bluff wouldn't be fair: after all he did well at jordan, and since he's at Williams, he's been more consistent that super-popular Montoya.
Maybe he'a a bit overrated but F1 is the place where he belongs
