Yes, but the Prius is nothing more than an overpriced celeb vehicle, not a mass market budget car.

Basic Corollas, Yaris etc need hybrid technology as standard, otherwise the cost of oil will literally force people off the road.

It doesn't need to match since Dome never was unofficial Toyota.

Also the rear wing do not match with neither GT-One or TS010. And like someone said here, why would they be so secretive about historic cars...

The wing is not exactly the kind of wing one woud expect to in the future (40 cm shorter I mean)?

What was/is specifically Dome's connection with Toyota anyway? They're running Hondas in Super GT, Daisuke Ito is driving Honda too but in a different team, Tachikawa and Kataoka are Toyota drivers though. (If I correctly Googled.)

It's mostley the part that Dome suddenly made such a fast car, that they are Japanish, and that it's pretty "wired" that they get this fast 2 years before Toyota's earliest arrival (2010)

Dome undertakes the development of NSX-GT from Honda.
However, Toyota also uses the wind tunnel of Dome to develop Lexus-GT.
And, Dome had undertaken the development of the Le Mans car from Toyota
before.

Dome do have some history with Toyota in Sportscars- weren't they involved in some of Toyota's early Group C ventures? As I recall, Toyota's LM entries around 1985/6 used to consist of a pair of cars- one each from TOM'S and Dome....

3.4l V10's and V12's as well as the regular P2 V8's and 2l turbo's?

Or current P1 engines allowed with P2 sized restrictors?

That would not be "present generation P2 engines" like it says in the PDF.

I hope this paddock poop is correct, otherwise there's not going to much variety with the current way it is in P2... only 3.4 V8 and then 2.0L turbos and some kind of diesel (since currently diesel is practically ruled out in P2).

The pdf says "present generation engines," not "present engines," and is a non-exclusive statement. It says that present engines will be eligible (and are encouraged in the phase-in period). It is not a "complete rule" or meant to be one. It does not exclude other configurations currently not allowed in P2. That's what's been heard in the ALMS paddock, not from anyone with any connection to the ACO.

I guess it makes sense for Judd, AER etc. to use their P2 engines in P1 (2011), as they are more compact.

As for production engines like the Aston Martin V12, you would think they are too large to be competitive, so it would make sense to switch to the GT2 V8, that's if production engines are to be allowed in P1.

Not production engines, but production 'based' engines. Big difference.

a production 'based' engine is a race engine with specifically built race parts, not production street or road going parts in consumer cars.

Toyota aims at the victory by hybrids in 2010.

The development of the machine for Le Mans is advanced now on the scale of tens of people.

A hybrid device was built into a pure racing car made of the other companies (Dome?) to participate in Le Mans until last year and the practice run was begun.
