On my Carlin idea each team runs two clubs cars so who get the seat next to Manchester? Maybe Arsenal!?

I don't think they are allowed to suport 2 big british teams, there is a rule for that I think

Initially one team didn't run two cars.

in an interview with autosport.be Dolby said he hopes to race again with Astromega (sow propably Anderlecht again), and by the looks of it, I think it just might happen

I certainly hope he gets the seat, he showed some great driving last year

Has this series established it's self as a legit series or doesnt anyone have doubts or believe this is a fad series? There was a lot of doubt leading up until the season started. Curious if its still around?

The cars are good, some of the drivers are OK and the TV production is funny. However, the series is not one for the upwardly mobile careerwise.

The SF doubters will continue for longer than the A1GP ones did.

that's also what I fear

SF doesn't deserve all the badtalk they are trying so hard, much harder then other series out there

One thing i have learned from closely following A1GP is that there will always be doubters, and they will use personal biases rather than logic or factual evidence. Some F1 journalists in particular like to throw muck at anything other than their dear F1 (don't get me wrong, I love F1 too but also can appreciate other things).

So SF fans, the only thing to do is to get used to it and support this series if you enjoy it, and if there are enough of you it should turn out ok.

We shall see what the new season brings. From 2010 onwards, we may get a Dutch round at Assen (which incidently, is further away from Eindhoven than Zolder, and Zandvoort will have A1, DTM, masters of F3 and WTCC by then).

In the end, no matter what is sponsoring them etc, they will allways be fast cars with a V12

The problem is that SF is a very expensive series and it is not an easy momeny to find money... I really hope that it will continue but I'm not that sure...

Within the current climate, how much do you reckon it costs to run the season? I heard the car is very robust, not much exotic materials and so on.

My estimate with the current calendar would be about 2 mill. euros (not counting any VIP treatment) for a new team

It all depends if your driver comes with a budget or if you want to hire a pro, and if you have to hire outside technical assistance or have a crew of your own..

2 Millions Euros for only 6 racing week-ends looks a bit heavy to me , it would be even more costy than GP2

Yep, I was expecting a lot lower number. I was very surprised by some of the drivers, who seemed unable to raise budget for anything else, had no star credentials and yet were having seats last season.

Craig Dolby is also now confirmed at Tottenham Hotspur. Crertainly one of the stand out drivers last season in my opinion.
